We had tickets included to the spa as part a stopover at an airport hotel. We also paid for a ticket into the water park for our daughter separately. We paid at the hotel for this so it was only 4 euro but it would have been more on the door. For the price we paid this was good value but if I had paid the full weekend price I would have been disappointed. The water park is small but was not too busy. From the website I was expecting more to be honest. What it does it does well but in reality it is just a swimming pool with a lazy river and some slides. The spa was nice but nothing special. It was a nice way to pass the time before a connecting flight but I do not know how they justify their usual prices. As we did not pay much this was not a problem for us. Not somewhere I would go to again.

You have to go to the waterpark in the morning otherwise it will be full with families and people in general. Try the Spa area whitch is only for adults (over 20 years). There you can relax..

Flamingo Spa is separated from Flamingo water park and you need additional ticket to enter there. You must also be over 21 years old. There were times when bathing in the spa was much more reasonalbe priced but in the past few years prices has gone up too much. Going there on the weekends you must pay almost 40 euros to enter, although now you can spend the whole day at the spa. With this price you can also enter to the water park.

Pool area is nice, there are two pools. Warm, wide and shallow pool with water temperature 37°c, which is my main reason why I want to visit this spa, and mineral water pool with water temperature of 34°c. Both pools are nice. There are also 4 different types of saunas. I have visited the spa at least 4 times and there have never been too many people. Atmosphere is nice and spa is decorated beautifully. It's only few minutes away from the airport and easily reached with public transport. I could visit more often, if it wasn't that expensive.

Flamingo waterpark/spa is located in a big amusement center /hotel and next to a whole mall of shopping, along a big highway and close to the airport with ample parking, which makes it well reachable by car but the public transport connections are not so great, especially from Helsinki. But once you get there, it's a great place. During weekends and peak seasons during the winter months especially, be prepared for long queuing before you get in. It's popular with families who take their kids to enjoy the waterpark with its slides and pools, and those are alright but not so special, but that's not all there is to the place. There's also a separate quiet spa area where kids are not allowed. There's an extra charge to go to the spa but if you feel like a pampering experience, go for it! There's a nice dim lighting in the spa, and a general air of tranquility. There are lots of different pools and saunas to enjoy. One of the best is a pool where you can float and listen to under-water music! it's just wonderful.. You can also book massages and beauty treatments and special extra group sauna's with different 'flavours'. However, I think the spa treatments are quite pricey. One of the group sauna's was not so great after all, so I'd say that just the spa area in itself without anything extra is enough. One down-side is that the showers and dressing rooms are the same for all visitors (of course divided by gender) and they could be nicer. Now they are very brightly lit and just full of lockers. They have a rather handy system of locking the lockers, and you can always check what the number of your locker was. You can get a nice bathrobe and towels for an extra charge. You can also add credit to your key and pay in the spa's/waterpark's hamburger restaurant and bar. The prices are always higher on weekends and during peak season so if you can get here during the week during low season it is considerably cheaper. I've enjoyed both the spa and waterpark; I've been to the spa with friends and for a romantic getaway, and to the waterpark with my kid, and both experiences have been good in their own way. After the splashing in the pool, you feel hungry - then there are many different restaurants upstairs.

Our family of four with two teenagers flew from NYC to HEL and then from HEL to LON. We arrived at HEL at 0850, and our flight to LON departed at 1405. We grabbed at taxi from the airport to Flamingo Spa and enjoyed 2.5 hours of relaxation between flights. Water park area was not especially crowded at opening time of 1000. Parents enjoyed swimming laps near the jacuzzis, while the teens went down all water slides and jumped off the high dives. After the pools, we spent a few minutes heating up in the sauna and then showering. By that time we were all exhausted, but relaxed and starving. On the return to the airport we did not see a taxi waiting, but we asked at the hotel (Sokos, I believe) desk, and the desk clerk called one for us. Taxi arrived within 5 minutes of the call. We stopped in one of the airport restaurants for a nice salmon sandwich and then boarded our flight to LON.

Expensive, but much, much more fun than sitting in the airport for 5 hours!
