“Nice but overpriced”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 9, 2012

We visit Flamingo Spa pretty regularly. It is always fun, especially for the kids, but the cost is ridiculously high. Last week we wisited with our two youngest kids (4 and 1 years old), and paid 50 eur for some 1,5 hours of splashing. Will go to our local swimming pool next time :)

There is a good pool for the smallest kids with shallow warm water and toys to play with. For bigger kids there are several slides, a big pool with a strong current side pool, a jumping pool (or what do you call them, with the 5 m and 10 m planks to jump down from) and a separate pool for water sports. And some jacuzzis and saunas of course.

It might be useful to know that in addition to this waterpark for families there is a separate pampering section for adults, with massage and beauty treatments. I might go somewhere else for that stuff, looking at the broschures the treatments were quite generic 'Asian-type' or 'natural herbs' etc. and nothing really convinving.

All in all, if you visit Finland in the winter and want to get rid of the cold for a while, this is a fun place for families. If you come in the summer, there are tons of nicer things to experience in the Helsinki area as well as elsewhere in the country.

“Las Vegas, Reno, Nevada and Atlantic city, New Jersey of Finland.”

The complex is a whole, anything and everything is there. The spa is dimmed with a swimming pool with family focus, water fronts and parks akin to luxury. The one and only Finnish sounas is not missing after all, steamy and nerve recking, you can be guaranteed a melt down regardless of the stress. The spa is fabulous for families at a relatively good price if you get the offer which do come sometimes by post or adverts.
There are bars aswel, all well architected, groomed and stylish with modern technology. I recommend for everyone.

“day in the tropics”

no doors on the dressing rooms. Had to wear a helmet to go down the tube slide. Like that you could charge food to your bracelet and not need cash while swimming. Like that there is a seperate pool for ball sports.

“Phenomenal place to relax and luxuriate”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 2, 2012

On my recent trip from the USA to Finland, I had an 8-hour layover before continuing on to Lapland. I decided to use that time by unwinding at Flamingo Spa, which was recommended to me by a Finnish colleague. Great recommendation!

First, Flamingo will provide you with everything including swim trunks, towels, secure locker, slippers, etc. There are even two eating venues, a snack bar and a restaurant.

The outer area is dominated by a humongous wading and swimming pool that draws families. It has a water slide, whirlpools, lounges and is well lighted.

The inner area is for adults only. Amidst soft lighting, there are saunas, steam rooms, a warm water bubbling pool and a salt-water medicinal pool. There are also rooms for massages and other spa treatments. Soft music adds to the experience. After several sessions of sauna and steam, intermixed with refreshing pool dips, I fell asleep in one of the side rooms and woke refreshed.

For those of you who are concerned about cleanliness, I have to say that Flamingo is spotlessly clean and very well managed. I spent an incredible 4 hours and enjoyed every minute of it.
