“Lot's of stuff for the whole family”

Check what exhibitions they have, they vary from time to time. Great for a rainy day and you need a whole day, as it is fairly far away from the city center (local train ride).

“A nice place to visit with kids”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 25, 2012

Heureka is a great place for children to discover the practical side of science. The center has all sorts of curious machines for the children to play with, and also a infoboard explaining how and why does the machine work. Heureka also offers guided tours for a small fee.

“Perfect for curious children, and adults.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 20, 2012

A very nice science center with many different things to do. Good and interesting exhibits, like the Klima-X and Future exhibits. The klimax gives you an idea and understanding of global warming and the effects of it. You have to wade through a room filled with water! (rubber boots supplied) It also exemplifies the need to act and suggest steps on the way.
In the Future exhibit you learn to make sustainable choices and there is much "high tech" and things you can try, much electronics.

There was also a dinosaur exhibition with model dinosaurs that moved and made sounds. There was quite much information about the dinosaurs and their life on earth.

Heureka has many things that you can try and see for yourself what happens when you do this or that, i.e. our kids could lift an Austin Mini with a rope...

There is also a Planetarium but we didn't try that. Ther's also a café if you get thirsty or hungry.

A good way to spend a couple of hours.

If you go by car, from the parking area follow the sign and then turn left and go under the railway overpass!

“One of the best science centres we've visited”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 5, 2012

This is an excellent Science Centre. Visited with an 8 year old and an 11 year old and loved it and were there for a good few hours. Highlights included the Klimax exhibit where the room has been flooded and you have to wear wellies to enter - great way of getting across idea of climate change; experiencing an earthquake and riding a bike 10 metres above the ground (there's a safety net!) from one end of the main space to another.
