My wife and I spent 5 nights at the hotel. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was very good with plenty of choice. When we stayed it was very hot in Denmark and the only drawback was the lack of air conditioning. Well positioned for easy access to town and major roads. Also free parking.

Decor wise this hotel brings you back to the the Nineteen Eighties and the breakfast buffet is really poor, "industrial" and served in a room with poor atmosphere. On the positive side the rooms are quite big with a good and large king size bed. Its free wifi in the rooms and parking at the hotel is also free of charge. There was no air-condition so the window has to be open for a breeze causing a bit of noise from the outside traffic. A below average Hotel in my opinion.

This is not a fancy hotel. Do not stay here if you are used to a Ritz Carlton or Four Season.
The room was very serviceable. The bed is large (King size, possibly 2 pushed together, but well). Room was big enough. Desk area was functional.
The bathroom was very functional as well. The shower was good with high water pressure and good temperature. No bathtub. Sort of a bummer.
The internet was good for our whole stay.
Service was good. I used the kettle in the room to make iced tea. No ice machines, front desk got me some (twice) from the restaurant. Smallest ice bucket ever. Not filled to the top. I think that ice needs to be patented in Europe. I will get my people to work on it.
Everything was totally fine. No complaints. Clean and functional.

I stayed here on business for 3 nights. I agree with the other reviewers on their general comments about the decor and age of the hotel. Hotel was very clean. Staff were very nice and helpful. Personally I had no problems with noise. Free wireless internet was good. Hotel has a nicely equiped exersize room. There is plenty of free parking. I ate in the bar all 3 nights and the food was excellent. Breakfast was good but the room it is served in has the feeling of a function room. Hotel is right in the town centre where there are lots of shops and it is a very nice area to walk around.

My only regret of this trip was not spending more time in the beautiful city of Herning. Travelling with a coach group of one hundred and fifty other people meant that we did the typically British thing of moving in packs, without venturing much outside the hotel because we didn't know our way around Herning other than the Kvik Ice Arena that we frequented for the ice hockey games of the semi-finals of the Continental Cup, in which our team, the Sheffield Steelers, were playing. The staff were very helpful and spoke perfect English, the buffet breakfast was sublime with a great choice of cooked, cold meats and/or cereals and yoghurts. The fruit juices was great too, as was the tea and coffee. Speaking of tea and coffee, the tea and coffee making facilities in the room were excellent, while the room itself was very spacious, clean and comfortable. I've read in previous reviews about the noise level and can honestly say that being on the second floor, my partner and I didn't experience it - though the sight of free ear defenders in the wardrobe did have me worried at first! The bathroom was more of a wet room, really - but the power shower was amazing! It would've been nice if the hotel had catered for evening meals as well as breakfast; the sandwiches sold in the lobby just didn't seem to satisfy me as an evening meal. Overall, I would definitely stay at Scandic Regina again - hopefully for a longer period than three days next time!

Room Tip: The closer to reception you are, the less chance you have of a noisy room!

I agree with most of what has bee written about this hotel, so won't repeat it here. There was a gale blowing and the wind noise on the 8th floor did keep us awake, we were not disturbed otherwise. The reception staff are very friendly and helpful, and made a phone call to our last hotel about lost property for us. Breakfast is comprehensive, but would advise going in early as choice is reduced towards the end. One criticism: there was not enough English tea available, and milk is not provided in rooms (but was provided on request).

We travelled with my mum and dad and my mother-in-law who are all over 70. The reception staff were very helpful and caring.

The rooms were very clean and comfortable and the location was very central to Herning town.

The breakfast was extensive and very good quality, there was something for everyone.
