We have stayed here several times in the past and are due to stay again in September just for one night. It's location is very conveniet if you are travelling into or out of France, as it is on the right side of Caen for a very quick hop from / to the Ferry Port of Caen (Ouistreham).
It's a typical Campanile, clean and tidy with a car park on site. Restaurant is the usual style, nothing amazing but perfectly acceptable if all you are doing is breaking a long journey.
This time we are motoring back up from the Perigord Noir so rather than undoing all the benefit of that relaxation acquired during the holiday by getting yourself all stressed out, rushing 350 miles across France to get the Saturday night ferry, we'll do our usual thing and have a relaxed day toodling up with no particular deadline, stay here the night and then next morning it's a mere 10 minute hop up to Ouistreham for the 08:00 Sunday ferry, a far more civilised way to end a holiday n'est-ce pas ?More
