We loved to stroll around Disney Village with its countless shops and many cafes and restaurants. The little lake is nice to take a walk around and one can easily spend a few hours before or after the parks there. I imagine it fun in the evening for after dinner drinks or ice cream (with a small child, couldn't experience this myself though).

Disney Village is located next to the entrances to the two Disney parks. It offers a wide range of mostly Disney related shops, although the Rainforest Café, for instance, does sell non-Disney items. There is also a good variety of restaurants to suit varying budgets.

A great way to spend an evening or as a break from the parks,

The Disney Village is mainly made up of restaurants and Disney shops selling just about every type of Disney merchandise imaginable. The prices for Disney souvenirs in the village are mostly the same as in the park however I did notice some of the soft toys to be a Euro or two cheaper in the park and at the little shops at the train station. The Disney shops in the village though are open much later and there is no fee to enter the village. Looking at the menus of restaurants we found the food to be very overpriced and/or not that healthy. We ended up visiting Earl of Sandwich each day. (It is located at the back of Disney Village near the lake.) Hot and cold sandwiches, salads etc. for the same price as McDonalds and probably the healthiest option in the whole village. Kind of a more upmarket version of Subway. The restaurant also had views overlooking the lake. The lake also has a few activities you can participate in for a fee. Activities include a ride in a hot air balloon and some pedal bikes and boats.

Easier to shop than in the Disney parks, and has a good variety. Bars and restaurants are good, and certain times of year there is live entertainment in the village. Worth a visit if you are at the parks.

The Earl of Sandwich had some really good sandwiches. We also tried another place which had some nice meals.

However all these places are expensive. What do you expect when it is a Disney place.

Still worth it to splurge once in a while.
