“Was Surprised After The Reviews”
Reviewed May 4, 2014 via mobile

Visited Disneyland Paris with the family and friends. We booked the Santa Fe hotel a few months before the trip and was advised by various people that this was a bad hotel. After deciding not to change anything until we arrived at the hotel we was very surprised at how nice it actually was. Our rooms where very tidy and so was the restaurant. Could not complain about the food at all. The only issues we had was getting on the Disney bus. PLEASE try and avoid the busy periods when travelling to and from the park as the French people are very rude.

We stayed for 4 nights in April 2014 (during Easter Holidays) for my daughters 16th Birthday, and it was amazing. We booked the Euro Star from Ebbsfleet to Gare Du Nord as it was the cheapest option. We got the RER from Gare Du Nord to Chatelet les Halles, then another train straight to Disneyland (Marne La Vallee), which takes you right outside Disney (I got instructions from www.travellingwithnikki.co.uk, it was very useful as it gives you pictures and tells you everything you need to know, we wouldn't have been able to do it without this, as you need to be aware that if you do not have change for the ticket machines then you need to que at the ticket booths which always have long ques. It is pretty easy but wouldn't advise it with kids and cases in tow as the trains were very crowded and my little boy couldn't cope with this, so would advise booking a transfer. We had the free half board with free Tea Time Treat Vouchers, which we found brilliant and saved us a lot of money, as the food was very expensive, if we had had to pay. Would definitely recommend doing it that way as it saved us a lot of money as it was around 30 euros per adult and 15 euros per child for an evening meal and the food was superb and there was a lot of choice not just the same old thing. The only negative I have to say is that the Tea Time Treat said that you could have a hot or cold drink and a cake, yet when you went to the café you were only allowed a muffin or brioche, so not any cake. A lot of people were frustrated by this by we found it ok as as you could chose which muffin you wanted and the brioche was lovely. We used our vouchers in the Bake shop on Main Street as you it gave you more choice as in the other cafes there was no choice or little choice muffin. You could use your Tea Time Treat vouchers from 3-7pm. The accommodation was superb as it was Cars theme so my little boy loved it and they gave us 2 rooms with a connecting door so it was plenty big enough for a family of four. We had clean towels everyday and the room cleaned and Mickey Mouse shampoo and body wash with soap was replaced every day. We also had a kettle but there were no cups, so if you like a cup of tea you will either have to ask at reception for some or take some from breakfast. The room was spotlessly clean. The breakfast was great as the bread and croissants were freshly baked on site and always re-stocked. As my son has autism we were given a priority pass which was a god sent as it meant that we didn't have to que for breakfast or the rides as he cannot cope with it. This was great as there were ques for breakfast, but on showing this you were taken in another door and also at the rides you went to the disabled exit and could go on the next ride which is great as queing causes us huge meltdowns so would highly recommend getting one of these from City Hall as the ques were horrendous. What I would recommend is making a reservation for your evening meals as the restaurants do fill up and if you haven't made a reservation then you will have a long wait. We ate the first night at the Hotel and the food was lovely and there was plenty of choice. The next night we ate at the Plaza Gardens Restaurant on Main Street and that was great, again plenty of choice and superb food. We did try and make a reservation for the Silver Spur Steakhouse in Frontierland, but the lady on the desk there was very rude and they try and charge you extra if you have the standard Half Board option. We also ate at Annette's Diner on my daughters birthday. This is the only place that you cannot make a reservation. When I asked at the Reception of our hotel if we could make a reservation the receptionist Claire, was very rude and not even prepared to go and make enquiries. To be honest it seemed as if she had a job to do anything as she had an appauling attitude, not what you would expect from Disney!!! However if you go between 7pm and 8pm you will not have long to wait as it is a fast turn over, but any later and you will have a very long wait. It is a great place, we loved it there as its an American themed 50's diner and all the staff dance and sing and some are on roller skates. We ordered a cake from there (which you can do at the time you go there) and they brought it out and played "Happy Birthday to You" and all the staff came and sang and really made a fuss of my daughter. Its a great place as it got a great vibe and the staff are really good with the kids, as my little boy cannot keep still they didn't mind this and made you feel at ease. We booked a day trip to Paris to visit the Eiffel Tower and do a river cruise on the Seine with Paris City Vision, which picks you up from the New York Hotel and takes you on a guided tour of Paris, before stopping at the Louvre for an hour then taking you on a river cruise down the Seine followed by a visit to the 2nd floor of the Eiffel Tower. It was amazing and so glad we booked this as we got to see a lot of places with commentary, and there was also a special commentary for the kids. The tour guide Jean Paul was fab, would definately recommend. We booked it in advance as the Eiffel Tower does sell out, (we booked it online with Local Paris Tours). All the rides were fab but found that Walt Disney Studio staff seem to be much more friendlier and nicer to kids than the Disney Land Park. What we did find very frustrating is that if you want to hire a stroller/pushchair for the day, you cannot take it out of one park and into another, you have to take the child out of it at the gates of the one park and show your receipt to the stroller hire in the other park to get another stroller, which seemed crazy. Or you have to pay a 70 euros deposit. The guy at the stroller rental in Disneyland Park was very rude (Vincent) so be aware of him. For our journey home, we booked a transfer with Iris-Shuttle Transfer Company (www.irisshuttle.com), they are the cheapest around, as it only cost 60 Euros from Hotel Santa Fe to Gare Du Nord. The hotel transport is a 100 Euros so don't use them. The gentleman that came to pick us up was lovely, and on time and pointed out some tourist attractions and gave us info on them and even helped us with our cases at the station and showed us where to go. Would definitely recommend them as very friendly and helpful and supplied a child car seat for my little boy at no extra cost. Would definitely go back as the parades and Disney Dreams light show are amazing and well worth getting a place early to get a good view!

We stayed for 2 nights in December 2013. Im not sure when the refurbishments took place but the hotel looks great and overall much more Disney themed. I have been saying for so long that it should be cars and they have exceeded what I could have ever imagined. The rooms where bright and colourful and the bathroom mirror was huge and really funky. Every little detail had been thought of and really pulled this hotel up a notch. The only thing that lets this hotel down now for me is the breakfast. We paid extra to eat at Café Mickey the second morning which was well worth the upgrade as cereal and tinned fruit didn't really set us up for the day. I would definitely recommend doing this.

Hopefully Hotel Cheyenne will be Woody and Jessie themed when they are finished with it and it will again be at the same Disney magic theme level as the Santa Fe now is.

Room Tip: We stayed in the furthest building to the left which was quite a walk to reception but really shorte...

Me and my boyfriend booked to go Disneyland Paris 20/4/14 - 23/4/14 and stayed at Hotel Santa Fe. The hotel was amazing! We both loved the cars themed, our room was clean and was cleaned every morning by the maids. The staff were helpful and spoke good English. The one morning we did have to queue for breakfast but like every review we didn't queue no longer than 5 minutes. The breakfast was lovely and a nice change from what we would have at home. We managed to visit Disneyland park, Walt Disney studios park and Disney village and do everything there! Both parks we thoroughly enjoyed as we went on all the rides and watched the entertainment shows. The best was watching the parade and fireworks at Disneyland park! The Disney village was nice to shop for souvenirs for family and spoil ourselves on the last day haha. To get to the parks and back to the hotel we always got on the shuttle bus and had no problems doing this. So overall our experience staying at the hotel and visiting the parks was amazing! Best holiday ever! We definitely will be visiting Disneyland Paris and staying at Hotel Santa Fe again :-)

We have stayed at the Santa Fe hotel twice the last time being march 14, we found the hotel excellent value for money, the rooms were spotless and the hotel itself has a bar and restaurant, the staff were really friendly and it is only a short walk into the Disney parks !!

We stayed here as part of our coach tour package in December 2013. The hotel was very clean, the staff were very friendly and our room was wonderful. Upon arriving, we found that our TV wasn't working. One quick call to reception and the hotel handyman was there in a few minutes. The free shuttle service was incredibly handy and frequent. The gift shop was also very handy and the staff were happy to help.
