“Nice and quiet hotel”
Reviewed September 24, 2012

We were visiting east part of France and we stayed at this hotel beginning of september and had dinner at their restaurant meals were very good and not expensive. For the price paid it was a godd choice and staff were very nice. They offered us a tourist map of the city.

Stayed here for one night whilst travelling back from Switzerland. This is very good value for money accomodation. Paid just over £30.00, Room was clean everything worked like it should bed was OK but rather small.
Breakfast OK, would definitely stay here again.
P.S. restaurant over the road serves very good food at a reasonable price

Last stop was CDG Airport, Paris, to end our 5 weeks in France and I had promised my partner a "shop 'till you drop" (LP quote) day in Troyes. On that score, I got a good mark and even bought sports goods from a massive store. Besides the shopping we did lots of walking in the medieval city; we dined out each of our two nights there. See separate review of La Fille du Potager.

Hotel is easy to get to by car and it's also easy to drive to the centre where we found parking quickly (in early June). The staff were helpful and available when we needed them. (We got in each evening without having to sign in again!) As with the accomodation, breakfast was good value at hotel prices; we helped ourselves to the choice available. We would stay there again in spite of it's stark look when we saw it for the first time.

It's a kind of motel - the rooms are simple, but clean with all the equipment you need and most important - free wi-fi in all the rooms and not just in the lobby. ( although it's quite annoying that each day you have to sign in again..)
Breakfast was good and diverse and we also took dinner and it was good.
It's not suitable for travelers without a car since it's just outside the city in an industrial zone. The location is ideal for those who want to travel in the region and not just inside the city since it's right near the highway exit.
The staff was nice and helpfull.
Overall - you really get full value for what you pay!

Arrived at 2.30pm.. to an unstaffed hotel. Self check in however did not recognise visa or booking number, only name.
Upon entering, there are toilets to the left, no door..
and to the right, a vending machine (with everything sold out!) and a few chairs.
The room was a good size, however it took 10 mins for the shower to get hot and isnt entirely sanitary.
The bed covers (blanket) looked unwashed, however consiering the heat a light blanket suited.
The location is fairly okay for driving into the town (which is beautifull and well worth the journey!) however, travellers on foot, do not book!
The walls are thin and you can hear everything in the hallways
But for the cheap price for one night, not too bad.

Room Tip: Higher floor

Arrived just before 10 p.m. and the hotel was unstaffed. We managed to check in with a self-check in machine but when we got to the room, we found out that the toilet was broken. There was no one to complain to, or to ask for another room! Will not come back to this hotel again!
