Lovely atmosphere, amazing location in the middle of the rainforest. Loved the communal area, a self cater kitchen is an excellent option whilst Sally's cooking is not to be missed. Keep this a secret so that the place doesnt get overrun by tourists :)

We spent 3 nights in an ensuite room/tent located in the rainforest with a lovely balcony to relax and enjoy the rainforest. Sally and Steve are running a great set up at Crocodylus with a wide range of activities on offer and a very reasonable bar, restaurant and barista cafe. We joined Steve on his early morning kayak which was both fun and informative and surprisingly took us to some lovely coral spots close by with turtles in abundance. Sally's cooking was excellent and very welcome at the end of every day spent exploring this area. Note you can also self cater with an excellent kitchen provided. We would thoroughly recommend this place for its relaxed, friendly atmosphere and wonderful location in the rainforest.

We stopped at crocodylus on our way to cooktown and in between "flashier" holiday spots. it was a wonderful breather from concrete pools and swim up bars (also not bad, mind you) of Port Douglas and Palm Cove. It was beautiful. our hosts were lovely, food filling and hearty and the tents were totally comfortable. Listening to the bush at night was gorgeous. felt like "real" camping without the hard work.

Room Tip: family tents slept 8!

We got upgraded to a family bungalow. Accommodation was clean, spacious and private.

Just be aware that there are no power points in the cabin, and you can recharge electronic items only at reception or the communal area.

Limited soap options, so you might want to bring shampoo/conditioner.

A nice getaway - just don't be expecting a hotel. Enjoyable experience, sort of like 5 star camping.

Our family of five stayed at Crocodylus for four nights at the end of September 2013. The whole experience exceeded our expectations and is a must for Australian families and international travellers. We stayed in a safari tent which was big enough for all of us, was clean with fresh linen daily and had a bathroom. The food for breakfast and dinner was great and Sally makes a fantastic carrot cake. But if you wanted to partially or entirely self cater there is a good kitchen and plenty of storage. We did the sea kayaking and night walk both activities were memorable and suitable for all ages. There were some interesting noises at night. Down side...hard to get your towels dry in the rainforest!

We stayed at Crocodylus for six nights and really loved it. All the Eco tents are beautifully nestled into the rainforest and are basic but vey spacious, private and well maintained. Sally and Steve are friendly, helpful, personable, energetic, enthusiastic and extremely knowledgable about this beautiful area. The food is well priced and hearty, the setting informal and comfortable. We saw a cassowary, bandicoots, lace monitors, pythons and butterflies all outside our door or in the grounds and the beautiful beach is just down the road.Child friendly, convivial, we felt welcome and got to chat with locals at the bar. If you want a fancy resort, this isn't for you. There is no wifi or fancy stuff. If you want a wonderful, friendly, memorable, special stay in a spectacularly beautiful Daintree setting with all amenities you need, Crocodylus is for you. We loved it and will definitely be back again.

We stayed 5 nights with our 2 children during school holidays and Crocodylus was perfect for us. We stayed in a rainforest bungalow which was clean, secluded and had a lovely rear balcony overlooking the forest. The food was great, they always had a vegetarian option and offered half size/half price meal for kids. The pool and communal area were great places to relax in the afternoon after returning from our day trips around the region. Really good coffee and all round great friendly vibe and having no mobile phone service or wifi just made it even better.
