So lovely. The home is a treasure trove of things very old alongside recent history. Plush and comfy and with the feeling of being at home. Find yourself immersed in excellent hospitality which includes wonderful hosts and super food. Yes, a delightful place to stay.
Peaceful country setting, warm friendly atmosphere, historically intriguing, excellent food & wine & great hosts in Julian & Chaxi. Our walking group chose this location for the superbly central position on the East Coast for easy access to walking on Maria Island, local walks on the coastline & of course the historic convict built coach road that follows the Prosser River from Orford direct to Brockley. How nice to be welcomed by Julian & Chaxi at the end of our walk as though we were old friends, with wine & cheese to relax & unwind in the sun room room followed by the most superb evening meal to follow. We will certainly be back.

The hosts are wonderful and make you feel comfortable , it's a unique experience and well worth a stay if you are in the south of Tassie . Chaxis is the Spanish wife of Julian the owners and hosts , she is delightful and her cooking is superb . Julian makes a perfect Host.We booked the whole house with a group if friends, so a thoroughly wonderful night had by all.
My wife and I were looking for a quite get away and came across beautiful and peacefull Brockley Esate, as soon as we arrived Julian and Chaxi made us feel like we were at home .The rooms were beautifully renovated with some great old pictures and paintings to decorate the inside. There local knowledge and Chaxi amazing Spanish cooking made the weekend escape fantastic and memorable,I just wish we had more time to explore the estate in full.thanks we will come again
Looking for a good place to stay around Orford, we found this wonderfull Estate by coincidence.
It was such a nice place with good atmosphere, excellent food and special rooms that we decided to stay another night. Julian and Chaxia are very good hosts and the estate itself is very beautiful, with very old trees around the house.
We also had a very nice bushwalk just outside Buckland at the Bluff River gorge with nature painted rocks.
