An evening visit to this pub was most enjoyable. Small menu but some lovely choices which we were freshly cooked and well presented. Great selection of beers, included their own brew. Dog friendly section and great to see families dining out although plenty of space if you want a quiet corner to yourselves. Would I go back if in the area again ? Yes, definitely

Recently visited thsi Pub a couple of weeks ago. We both enjoyed the wide variety of food available and would find it difficult to fault either the food or the service.

Ate here for the first time last night. Chose sea bass fillet with prawn linguini. Fish was excellent and the linguini (with prawns, peas and samphire) was delicious. Followed by a dark and sticky toffee pudding and custard, again delicious. Service was very friendly. Will certainly return.

Arrived at thought the pub looked so nice in the sun, lots of people sat outside enjoying the sun and the food.
Met up with friends and ordered the meal - a lovely Sardinian Platter lovely oils and vinegars, really fresh meat and warm bread. Main course was carvery which was delicious (and I am not one for carvery) but the food was fresh and well cooked, vanilla panna cotta to die for - highly recommended

Matteo and Alyson host the most amazing Sardinian evenings at The Red Lion. I am almost reluctant to report this as I don't want these evenings to become so popular that I can't get a seat! From welcoming aperitif to final (home-made) liqueur, the evening was a triumph. The Sardinian food was simply outstanding and came in very generous portions. These evenings are not to be missed - and don't forget to ask Matteo to play the Sardinian pipes as well. Just make sure I buy my tickets first!
