“Weekend for Two”
Reviewed April 8, 2013

Recently had an overnight stay at Mirador Springs and found the place to be ideally set up for the break. The cottage is very private and hidden by the wonderful garden. There is a lake but at the time it was not very inviting even though it was a hot day. It needs a good few downpours of rain to help clean it up. Still it is another feature of the property. The cottage is far enough to be in what feels like total isolation yet close enough to be able to have a meal in town which is only about 15mins drive away. Would not hesitate to recommend Mirador Springs.

Thanks for taking the time to review us. Glad you had a lovely stay.

Sorry the water was uninviting! I noticed at the end of summer there was often debris on top of the water too. A shame for you, because it is really delicious in there on a hot day & the water actually quite clean!! Hopefully you can come again when it is more enticing!

Thank you so much again your patronage and response! Hope to host you again.

All the best.

Never usually go back anywhere but this place deserves a mention again ,just for being a magic place. Soak up the view from the balcony and wander around Kim's managed jungle.
Swim in the pond , turn off the alarm , open that book.
A good base for exploring but if your time is limited just chill out here.
Great bacon thanks

Mirador Springs is an excellent place if you are looking for somewhere to escape the busy and stressful city lifestyle. The cottage is well equipped, making us feel like we are at home. There is much more than just the cottage: the garden, the lake (or what my partner refer to as swimming pool)... All contribute to make a perfect retreat for everyone.

We've been to Mirador Springs three times now and every time has been memorable. The little cottage is hidden in the Strezlecki's only a short drive from the hustle and bustle of the highway but what seems like a world away. Great views, a nice garden to walk around, good location to explore Gippsland and an even better place to just relax.

The cottage is fully self contained and the ingredients for a freshly cooked breakfast are supplied. All that is required is a good book to really relax and enjoy the toasty wood heater and cosiness of this little cottage.

Lucilla and Kim have a very special place here.
Nestled at the top of the hill above Trafalgar with stunning views towards Mt Baw baw. The guest cottage has everything you need for a romantic or restful weekend away for two.
Barbecue on the balcony, a comfortable bedroom and lounge and breakfast in the fridge.
Definitely a place for a night in with log fire and entertainment. The bonus is your own swimming pond with boat and diving board. Not brave enough to try the flying fox. Gardens and optional animals to bond with. I defy you to leave this place with anything other than positive thoughts.
