Stayed for 7 nights on a Travelsphere holiday. The town is a sleepy little place where not much happens but this family run hotel is outstanding. Our room(No 30) on the first floor was huge and very comfortable. It was serviced during breakfast every day we were there.
Breakfast is buffet style and there is a wide range of cold meats, cheese, juice, cereal and yoghurt. It was regularly restocked so latecomers still had plenty of choice. There was only one hot option of scrambled egg and bacon but this was not problem given the other things available.
The evening meal was a 3 course set menu, soup, a meat dish and a sweet. The portions were substantial with different vegetables supplied each night all superbly cooked and well presented. We had chicken one night, a large & varied buffet on another but the rest of the time pork was served. A vegetarian option was provided and it looked appetising from where I was.
The food & accomodation was excellent but where this place lets itself down was the drink prices. 2 x 500ml of beer at 8 euros, local wine at 14 euro a bottle and 2 x 330ml of water at 5 euro. Paying £4.50 for two small glasses of water is outrageous. I would recommend this hotel to all but get your booze at the Netto supermarket just around the corner and see exactly how much the mark up at the hotel bar is.
