1 review We booked Swallow Barn for the week before the Eroica vintage cycle event because it was available in a time when bookings were very tight for the area, and the helpful responses of the owners. It turned out to be a terrific find, a short drive from both Bakewell and Buxton, gorgeous setting in pretty Chelmorton, and a perfectly comfortable self-catered lodging. Loved the walks, the bicycling in the area, and the perfect pub (the Church Inn) just up the street. Lovely, serene getaway any time of the year. Hosts are excellent and very knowledgeable of the area.

We stayed here in April for the second time,was beautifully redecorated,a real surprise!
Very friendly owners,very helpful & approachable.
Lovely little village setting,breath of fresh air.
We can't wait to return in September,highly recommended ,ten stars!

We stayed 1 week in this nice barn. The interior is very cosy & decorated with taste.
Well equiped kitchen, good seats to read books, nice private terrace & excellent bed. The barn is situated in a quiet village with nice walking routes in the vicinity, in between the Black & the White Peaks.
The cottage is well kept & the owners are very nice.
Perfect for a couple in search for a peacefull stay.

3 reviews Lovely Dog friendly Cottage, owners very welcoming. Everything you could want for a peaceful holiday. Village with Pub serving great food 5 mins walk away! Plenty of walks from the Cottage & so many places to visit within a short distance away.

Such a cosy comfortable cottage with everything you would need. Lovely pub just up the road where the food is excellent.
Plenty of walks from the cottage thou maps were not that easy to follow.

Spent a week at Swallow Barn, exploring nearby attractions and doing some walks with our little dog.This little cottage has everything you need and was lovely and clean. It rained on the first 2 days of our holiday, so we spent some time indoors. We were all comfortable in the cottage and it was the perfect place to relax. We arrived an hour earlier than check in but as the cottage was ready Gill took us straight in. The owners are fantastic, and as others have said, they kept themselves to themselves, but were on hand should we need anything. We did have problems with the wifi, but David sorted it out straight away. This cottage has an extremely comfortable bed, lovely hot shower and well equipped kitchen. The owners really do have a lovely cosy place and the area is stunning. Would recomend the pub at the end of the road for convenience. They allowed us in with our dog, and were very friendly. Really good food too. Overall, we had a great week and are missing it there already!

Stayed at swallow barn at the end of March. It is small but was ideal for us and the dogs.
It is in a small village with a fantastic little pub that does good food and is dog friendly.
The unit has everything you might need for your stay.
