“wonderfull stay in a charming and well equiped home”
Reviewed May 18, 2016 for a stay in May 2016

We stayed 1 week in this nice barn. The interior is very cosy & decorated with taste.
Well equiped kitchen, good seats to read books, nice private terrace & excellent bed. The barn is situated in a quiet village with nice walking routes in the vicinity, in between the Black & the White Peaks.
The cottage is well kept & the owners are very nice.
Perfect for a couple in search for a peacefull stay.
Thanks to the owners!

“The Perfect Place”
Reviewed August 3, 2015 for a stay in July 2015

Spent a week at Swallow Barn, exploring nearby attractions and doing some walks with our little dog. This little cottage has everything you need and was lovely and clean. It rained on the first 2 days of our holiday, so we spent some time indoors. We were all comfortable in the cottage and it was the perfect place to relax. We arrived an hour earlier than check in but as the cottage was ready Gill took us straight in. The owners are fantastic, and as others have said, they kept themselves to themselves, but were on hand should we need anything. We did have problems with the wifi, but David sorted it out straight away. This cottage has an extremely comfortable bed, lovely hot shower and well equipped kitchen. The owners really do have a lovely cosy place and the area is stunning. Would recomend the pub at the end of the road for convenience. They allowed us in with our dog, and were very friendly. Really good food too. Overall, we had a great week and are missing it there already!

“Small but Cosy”
Reviewed April 10, 2015 for a stay in March 2015

Stayed at swallow barn at the end of March. It is small but was ideal for us and the dogs.
It is in a small village with a fantastic little pub that does good food and is dog friendly.
The unit has everything you might need for your stay.

“A Fabulous Base for the Peak District”
Reviewed April 8, 2015 for a stay in April 2015

Swallow Barn is a fabulous property in the beautiful village of Chelmorton, and an excellent base to explore the Peak District. Buxton and Bakewell are a short drive away, and there are several fine walks which start and finish in the village. The Barn is cosy and fully equipped, and the owners extremely welcoming. I could not have wished for a more perfect location to spend a 'big' birthday with my wife and our dog - just a pity the weekend couldn't have lasted a little longer!

“Lovely little place to Stay for a few days”
Reviewed March 30, 2015 for a stay in March 2015

Lovely little place, everything you need for a base for touring the Peak District area of Buxton, Bakewell, Matlock etc., Owners welcomed us but did not bother us at all!. easy to find. Great pub 3 minutes walk away with excellent food. Chalet was clean other than the odd cobweb but most of these were so high up I am not surprised!
