Stayed over the weekend for our Ruby Wedding Anniversary. Perfect little cottage in beautiful surroundings.
We were welcomed by a very friendly lady called Alison who told us everything we needed to know.
The cottage was fully equipped and furnished to a very high standard, even a goody bag for our little doggy!
We had a lovely private patio which was excellent when family came to visit and our grandchildren had great fun playing pool in the games room.
Ideally situated for visiting the Church Inn at Chelmorton for a top notch dinner (see separate review) and the fab bookshop at Brier Low Bar.
It’s only a short drive to Buxton to stock up on essentials, and lots of beautiful Peak District villages to visit nearby including Castleton, Hartington and the famous Derwent Dams.
We definitely hope to return again and members of our family are also interested.
Stayed at the farditch farm cottages a couple of weeks ago. We rented all three cottages as we were a party of 22. All three cottages have interlocking doors and all are clean tidy and fitted out to a very high standard. We had a lovely weekend.
I would highly recommend these cottages individually or as all three. I will definitely stay again.
Stayed at Red Hurst for a week with family and one dog. Barn conversion is to a really high spec and has everything you need. Lovely new decor. Wonderful brand new spacious kitchen which is fully equipped with everything you would need. Dining table sits 12 people which is great for socialising and lingering/relaxing meals. Plenty of seating in lounge area which leads onto a little private outside seating area..a sun trap all day long. Bedrooms upstairs all have ensuite bathrooms and are very tastefully decorated. There are a multitude of local walks surrounding the area and we were fortunate to have great weather for exploring. Wish we could have stayed longer.
