Each summer, for 16 years, we have spend our holiday in Patmos. The last 12 years we have stayed at hotel Australis. We have become addicted to the place! The family that owns and runs the hotel are so unbelievable friendly. The rooms are intimate, nice, clean and cheap, and a generous breakfast is included. The flowers that covers the hotel are breathtaken and beautiful, - all this thanks to Fokas, Pantelis and their beautiful family. This is truly a wonderful pace to stay if you visit Patmos!

We love Patmos with it`s great "patmosphere". An important part of this is the Focas family running Australis!! Nice and clean rooms, cheap prices, really good breakfast in the most beautiful garden included, great service and so on.

We stayed at the Australis Hotel for one night after arriving on Patmos to find that the flying dolpins were not running and there was no ferry to Samos until the next day. We rang Peter to book a room and he offered to come and collect us from the port. The room was clean, comfortable and set in beautiful gardens and only a few minutes’ walk to the town. We had a lovely afternoon and evening in Patmos and will definitely return in the future. In the morning Peter drove us to the port and kindly insisted on giving us a whistle-stop tour up to monastery and back so that we had at least seen a tiny bit of the island. As we drove down to the port the passengers were just disembarking from the ferry so it was timed to perfection.

We had a wonderful stay in Australis thanks to genuine care and hospitality shown by owners Fokas and Pantelis. They spare no effort to make you feel comfortable and at home. The hotel is composed of a heavenly garden surrounded by 20 rooms, decent size and clean. Very centrally located. The garden is must see, full of fragrant and
colorful flowers, almost makes
you not want to go to the beach. I definitely rwcommend Australis. I hope to be back.
