This beautiful garden is a work of great dedication. .It was relatively recently formed from wild heath and wetlands. The result is just beautiful, changing with every season. Plenty wildlife in the form of guinea fowl, peacocks, ducks, hens, doves, squirrels and geese, along with their young in the spring. As a local I visit frequently and it never fails to bring me a feeling of tranquillity...definitely food for the soul!!
However, the cafe needs some serious attention. It has changed management a couple of times recently, and this has not benefited it at all .On my last visit it seemed pretty shambolic in it's running and the menu was unexciting and expensive.
But, I suppose I don't visit for the tea room, hence 5 stars!!
