The Tui Lodge was an absolute gem of a place to stay in. Rex and Joyce were fantastic hosts, the food was excellent and the accommodation great value. Would recommend the Tui Lodge every time and will definitely be looking to visit again. Sue & Chris

Stayed here just one night and enjoyed the wonderful hospitality provided by Rex & Joyce .Excellent dinner and breakfast with produce from their own garden. Great company at dinner. Rooms are good with decking overlooking Joyce's perfect garden. Quiet & peaceful welcoming place to stay after a long drive around the Eastern Cape.

Wonderful stay at Tui Lodge. Such a beautiful place.
Rex, Joyce and Peter made us so welcome from the first hello. Afternoon tea [lovely fruit cake], drinks on the verandah, wonderful dinner with produce from the property and a breakfast to set you up for the day, just great. Could have sat on the verandah for hours taking in the view and the peace and quiet, in fact I think we did! Thank you again Rex, Joyce and Peter. Would love to go back for another visit and have already recommended it to our friends.

What a wonderful place. We had a great time, and can only agree with previous reviews.
The home is lovely, peaceful, clean and charming, and the meal was huge and delicious (Thank you Joyce).
It really is a pleasant place to stay.

Rex, Joyce and Peter have a fantastic property and are extremely welcoming hosts! We had a wonderful 2 nights staying in the Fantail room which has french doors opening out onto the deck overlooking the perfectly maintained gardens. We would highly recommend Tui Lodge to anyone heading up the East Cape.

Thank you Rex, Joyce and Peter - no doubt we will be back sometime!

An Oasis set amongst tropical gardens. Yes bananas are grown here.
Upon opening the car door, meeting Joyce and Rex, we felt so relaxed after a long trip around the East Cape. With short notice we were invited to join Joyce and Rex for a barbeque for dinner. The quite lulled us to sleep in a comfy bed with ensuite. Next morning awakening to bird song we were offered a monster breakfast. If we venture back this way again it is a must stop off. Highly recommended

A fantastic place to stay on the East Cape, whether passing through or spending time at Te Kaha. Rex, Joyce and Peter are wonderful hosts. Great rooms. Large gardens. Excellent views out to the ocean. Rex cooks a mean breakfast and Joyce does a mean dinner. Highly recommend.
