Returning home from a trip to Chiang Mai, stopped for lunch and struck up a conversation with a couple who suggested if we could spare the time to give Uttaradit Riverside Resort (sometimes called Nan River Home) a visit. Well after a few beers, that seemed like a good idea, and really pleased that we did. The location is great, just outside of town, not difficult to find and close to a Lotus Express. The wooden lodges, that are the accommodation are just feet away from the Nan river. The lodges are all different but they all have a great sitting area outside to watch the meandering water wend its way to wherever. Inside, the rooms are quite spacious, spotlessly clean and tastefully arranged to maximize the space. A nice comfortable bed made for a good night's sleep. The owner, family and staff were really nice and kept our young son occupied, showing him the sights and the wildlife, also full of advice for where to visit locally. No real negative comments, except the shower room was a little cramped.
To summarize; if you enjoy peace, tranquility and nature at your doorstep, this is the place to go. We will return! 9.5 out of 10More
