We've been regular visitors to this place for the past 6 years, often choosing it for special family occasion lunches. Now it's been revamped, the pub is much more appealing to those wanting to have a mid-week pub dinner. Food is great, and more affordable than before, although don't be put off by this. The higher end items on the menu remain and this is a still a venue to go for if you wanted to mark an occasion. Opening for breakfast is also a nice touch; for those with young families breakfast is often the 'safest' and most enjoyable meal of the day to have out!
We now visit more frequently, and we've definitely noticed an increase in footfall here - the atmosphere is usually buzzing whenever we visit, whereas it used only to be busy on Friday/Saturday nights... Highly recommended if you want some great pub grub, a good drink and a very friendly welcome, all set within the very pleasant surrounds of this long-established venue.
