I stayed in the Raya Island room type which is floating in the water.

Pros:
Pros of this resort are the facilities and location.
Good thing about this resort is that you can bring your little puppy with you.
The location of this resort is very good. Great view with fresh air. It is connected to the Srinakarin Dam where you can kayaking (free), swimming and fishing in front of your room.
Comparing with other nearby hotel (hotel on the dam), this resort is far more comfortable. The cleanliness is acceptable; there is hot water, and air-condition.
Bed quality is good.

Cons:
Cons of this resort are services.
The staffs are not professional. I called to reserve a table for 10 people for our dinner. The restaurant gave us 8 seats. I told them we have 10 people, they brought 2 extra seats. It turns out that the table was too small for us. I asked for a bigger table or to extend our table; the waiter told us that they don't have more extended table (I can see that there are a lot of vacant table in the restaurant). My husband has to talk to the hotel manager, so that, we can extend our table.
It takes 2 hours to get our dinner because they try to cook for the guests with the package first. (I called to order the food at 5.30pm and told them that we'll be there at 7pm; we arrived at 6.45pm but we get our meal at 7.30pm.) So, stay with the package if you don't want to wait for your meal.
The breakfast was very poor...the quality of food was bad. The choices are limited.
A lot of ants.
There are holes on the floor where insects can come in your room. Before I go to bed, I found a cockroach and a spider on my bed.
Low qualilty soap and shampoo.

Suggestion:
This resort is NOT recommended for the elderly person and it is not wheelchair accessible. You have to climb long and high stairs (about 4 stories building) back and forth between your room and the front desk (where the restaurant and parking lot are located).
The road to the resort is pretty hard to drive and there' s not street light at night. And the resort is pretty far from town. Thus, plan your trip wisely.

I would not recommend this resort to my friends if the service is not improved.

We visited there in mid of raining season but we so luckly no rain at all for for our stay. Hotel set on lakeside which we really enjoy about this. Our room was water front cost around 2,500 THB ( a bit high on raining season). The service was good, staff was very helpful, food quality was above averate. Only thing we hate were bugs, small spiders, fly, ants always in our room. For me these little spiders look cute but not for my girl friend when they jumped around our room. We informed hotel staff about this and hope you will not find these little bugs in room for your visit.

Location is on the lake created by the dam, about 60km from Kanchanaburi.

Rooms are pretty nice, depending on your budget, we paid 9,400 THB for 2 ppl for 2 nights all meals and tours (nice rooms). They have internet, and are air conditioned. The restaurant and included food is good provided you are up to 100% thai menu, which is good quality.

The tours are a joke though. We were offered a sunset tour on a barge, first evening, ok, it was not bad to go out on the lake. Second day, ummm, no we don't want to do that tour again, can you arrange for us to go to the waterfall, the dam wall, or the town, or famous Bridge over River Kwai. But the answer was no we only have the sunset tour on offer. So that was pretty disappointing.
