Such an amazing place, even without electricity and hot water which makes this place even more special and back to basic. After three days of Bangkok, this was surely a pleasant and relaxing stay for one night. You can float down the river with a lifejacket, watch hundreds of starts during the nights, seeing elephants, watching some traditional Mon dancingshow or just stay in your hammock watching the river.

Rooms are simple but clean and comfortable. Food is ok.Make sure you dont bring all of your luggage since the space on the longtailboats are limited. A small backpack with basic equipment should be enough for 1 or 2 nights.

Amazing experience. So beautiful & peaceful. Very relaxing. You can float down the river from end to end of the rafts. Wake up to elephants bathing outside ur room. And no NOISE except for nature. Great Thai massages. Perfection. There's no electricity or hot water. Plus the meals are all set. But the food was very good. Really didn't want to leave

A wonderful place to visit, relax, and refresh, whether it be from a business trip or part of a tour. The food is great, the service and friendliness of the Staff is wonderful. ( BYOB ) There is no electricity, but you won't miss it. The only noises are the jungle birds, an occasional Elephant, and the sound of the river rushing by or a rain beating down ( but you will be under a canopy )
The gentle sway of the Raft ( we had an end room ) will put you to sleep !
The opportunity to explore the Mon Village adjacent to the rafts is unique.
Sitting and rocking on a hammock while a ( short ) Jungle Rainfall beats thunder on the river is almost as nice as watching the Elephants drinking from the river at the back door of your floating room.

If you are looking for a place to switch off and relax - this is it!
We stayed there for two nights as part of a 7 day trip and absolutely loved it.
There is no electricity which is no problem during the day and at night everything is lit up by oil lamps which makes for a really nice atmosphere.
I really enjoyed this time to switch of my phone and just sit in the hammock all day and read and chill. You can also jump into the river on the one end and let the current drag you along all the way to the last raft where you climb out again. From all the place we saw during this trip, this was my personal favorite!!

A lovely setting right on the river, we arrived by longtail boat which was fun. No electricity but has running water including a shower but it is cold. However it was a hot day so was fine! Rooms are basic but perfectly fine - twin beds rather than a double. Take a torch as the lantern isn't very bright if you want to read etc. We floated down the river a few times - make sure you wear a life jacket as the current is strong!! We saw the elephants bathing in the river which was nice and also took the short walk to the temple through the village. Dinner in the floating restaurant was a selection of Thai dishes which were delicious. We paid for the cultural show which was a bit pricey as only about 10 minutes - the child performers looked bored throughout!! Breakfast was a little disappointing - process ham and eggs. No choice or buffet and not brought in any order, we'd got up early and waited about 30 minutes but other people walked in after us and were served before which was frustrating. Overall, a lovely place to stay.

A floating refuge, hammocks, massages and Bollinger (BYO including your own ice). It was worth it. Wouldn't replace the 5.30 start and the beautiful long tail ride back long the river in the mists on our way to the tiger temple. This was a unique stay and location.

We booked a 3 day/2 night package directly through the River Kwai Jungle Rafts web site.
Accommodation- large double bed and small single bed.Mosquito netted and very comfortable.
Bathroom- flushing western style toilet, wash basin and cold water shower. ( very refreshing as weather was hot)
Lighting- at sunset lit kerosene lamps are provided in each room.
Food- Mon style Thai food. eg rice with stir fried chicken and vegetable. Breakfast - egg, tea and toast. The food is very tasty, fresh and servings were more than adequate.
Bar- there is a small bar serving soft drinks, beer and cocktails. A some snacks.
Activities- visit the Mon village, ride the elephants and take a boat to the Kaeng Lawa Cave

Room Tip: Ask for a room at the end of a raft as they have a side window.
