“Horrible!!!! Dont book this hotel!”
Reviewed September 29, 2013

This was the worst Hotel experience ever!

- Extra bed in the room was a camping stretcher
- You pay 4 euro per person for hotel pickup and another 4 euro to bring you to the airport.
- Service from staff is horrible, we understand a bit of Thai and the Reception staff were insulting and laughing at us in the middle of our face when we asked for a proper bed.
- Restaurant is really bad, cold fries & fried rice, orders arrived after an hour and kept comming within another half an hour.
- I recommend everybody to book a hotel in Surat Thani city itself and take a taxi when you need to go to the airport or from the airport. You will end up cheaper and having more fun.

This hotel is not worth being booked!

Room Tip: Book another hotel in Surat Thani itself!

My boyfriend and I stayed here for two nights. We paid around 750 baht per night, for a standard room that included breakfast. The room itself was clean, spacious and had everything we needed for a short stay. Breakfast was fine if you just want toast. The breakfast buffet is geared towards thai guests, with noodles and questionable meat on offer. My boyfriend spent a good while trying to get a fried egg made. That was another major problem, I know we were in Thailand but having at least one staff member with decent English would have been helpful. On arrival (admittedly a day early) we explained that we had no booking for that night but did have one for the next night so could we just book an extra one. Long story short, the girl on the desk said we were booked in for that night but not the night after as they were full. I had the confirmation in my hand so I knew I hadn't booked the wrong date. After a lot of calls to what I suppose was her manager and lots of miming with us, she suddenly gave us a key and said it was for two nights.

Travel to the hotel from Surat Thani was a bit of a mission. It's a long drive but we managed to get a taxi for 600 baht. The hotel transferred us to the airport in an minibus with aircon for 300 baht.

All in all, the hotel is modern and clean. The pool is clean, quiet and barely used. The restaurant is average at best - but there are a couple of cafes and thai restaurants on the site that are worth visiting. There is also a service station and a couple of street stalls.

I would only book this hotel again is I was passing though, which I probably won't be.

Stayed there earlier in August for business . The hotel is quite new and near the airport, however, there is nothing much around it so you will need to have a car to get around .

The room is ok, clean , nice modern design but limited neccessity for guest i.e. no hair dryer, no hot water pot. The toilet and shower room air vent was so noisy that i had to turn off the light during use ( as it is the same switch). The internet is free but not so strong signal. There is no gym but there is a small swimming pool.

Breakfast is included but horrible. Nothing much to eat - some cheap bread, thai rice and hot dish, eggs but taste awful.

The service was poor, staff was not able to speak English and extremely slow when check in and check out. They were not professional at all. If they could fix it, it would be a better hotel to stay.

The good thing about it , is the price is cheap ( 900 Baht) and it is quite close to airport. I am hesitating to recommend it though.

As a person working in tourism industry in Thailand, I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. To any tourism business you should not take your customer here! Unless, you've inspect the hotel every time you come in and you must have them keep the promise of (Hotel) standard. The room (when I was there) was too dirty especially, the bathroom. Furthermore, when you swim in the pool, there are many strangers walk around the pool (even tough it is a VIP room with personal entrance to the pool). Also, food in the restaurant are ridiculous, the test was salty and meaningless for Thai food. So many excuse from the hotel staffs but the they just don't know how to work in the tourism and hospitality industry.

We chose this place because it is only 10 minutes drive from Surat Thani airport, and we had a morning flight the next morning. We didn't expect too much, but this hotel way exceeded our expectations. We booked a Deluxe Room, about 650 baht including breakfast, and this was a gorgeous teak bungalow with a huge deck and lovely room with really nice simple decoration, TV, aircon, fridge, decent shower....all in all a really relaxing place to stay and great value for money. The hotel is at the back of a CALTEX service station about 20km out of Surat Thani, but there are several nice food stalls, a 7/11 style mini-mart etc, so everything you need for an overnight stay and a beautiful hotel environment. Breakfast was a nice simple buffet.
This place is not that easy to get to by public transport, the Surat Thani buses don't go past here, but if you get on the Hat Yai to Ranong bus, then it goes straight past, as long as you can get someone to write in Thai (to show to the bus driver), to stop at the Caltex at km18, near to the large CO-OP.
So as long as you can figure out the transport, this is the best value hotel around Surat Thani.
Taxi to airport can be easily arranged by the hotel staff.

Room Tip: The Deluxe rooms are standalone bungalows with lovely decks.
