I am so disappointed about the resort reservation process and service. Before we decided to reserve rooms with Agoda, we’ve contacted direct to the resort’s reservation to ask for rooms available and the price per night on 5th December, which the reservations replied on the next day that the rooms are still available, by Ms. Lily and offered the price which was still higher than Agoda.

And finally we decided to reserve rooms through Agoda in Deluxe Room category and received the confirmation letter from Agoda, reservation was made on Friday 7th December, staying period from Saturday 8th - Sunday 9th December. But when I checked in, the front office said there were no rooms available in the reserved category for me, because the rooms were occupied by another group which was confirmed several months ago. What we’ve got offered by the resort was room downgraded instead of a room upgrade.

After spent absurd moment, we found out that the resort manager was on duty. We were requesting to meet with the resort manager to discuss with this issue, but he/ she was missing in action and left the front desk to deal this matter with us without empower on decision making....which is ridiculous!

This is not what we expected or paid for!!

peace, quite, good food, desert beach nearby, a lake just for you and did i mention the massage on the balcony ? its the affordable bliss. if you expect a luxury resort don't try it. there´s more to it than that. go for the lake villas, there is a glitch or two but all things considering i don't choose any other puhkhet place to stay. its the most relaxing resting and eco friendly place. you will not want to come back. and if you realy NEED to do something there is island boat cruises and phuket visiting less than one hour away.

Room Tip: lake lake lake. if possible with nobody by your side

The waterjade is in a lovely setting. When we arrived the aircon was on in the bedroom but not in the bathroom area. Phew! It was very hot. Shower is outside not under any cover. Wondered what it would be like if it rained. Curtains in the bathroom needed replacing. Did not fit the window. The rooms were clean but did not have small touches that would place it in the resort class. Staff did not speak english well. Although they were very friendly and did their utmost to please.. A very small and intimate "resort" I would not recommend a long stay. No shopping in the area. But we had a great time looking at local life and walking along the beaches.

Room Tip: All rooms have a lakeside view. Pick the deluxe bunglows.

Reluctant? Yes – because we don’t want too many people to find out about this little gem of a resort. Before I start gushing, one needs to keep in mind two important details. First, this IS Thailand, so don’t expect European-type amenities. Second, remember the cost of the room, and adjust your expectations accordingly. If you are a traveller that is looking for a relaxing getaway away from the hustle and bustle of the city, to enjoy the tranquility of nature, and to breathe fresh clean air, then this place is for you. If you are looking for a party, you’re probably better off in Patong.
Rooms – definitely recommend the deluxe rooms if one is available. Beautifully decorated, huge, clean, and comfortable. And the private deck/dock provides a nice shady place to enjoy the views of the lake and relax. Don’t be fooled by the hot water availability in the deluxe rooms over the standard though – even the deluxe room only has hot water for the huge soaker tub. The outdoor shower is cold only, but quite refreshing considering the climate here. The setting is totally gorgeous.
Resort – while relaxing is the theme here, there is still lots to do if you desire. The resort will arrange for tours of the local attractions, there are kayaks that are free to use on the lake, bicycles are next to free to rent (50 baht per bike for the length of your stay), and there is a scooter for hire as well (400 baht/day – nice new Honda and lots of places to ramble to). One of the highlights is actually off the resort – Bordan beach. Only a leisurely 10 minute bike ride away (there is a small store to stop by and buy beverages at on the way), this is an absolutely fantastic, completely deserted beach. It goes on as far as the eye can see, and the Andaman Sea is absolutely beautiful here. Just watch out for the riptides when swimming – it’s easy to get into trouble, and there’s nobody around to help you if you do!
Restaurant – Excellent Thai dishes are served up for lunch and dinner (open until 9pm), and the menu is large enough that you won’t soon run out of delicious new things to try. The complimentary breakfast is enough to keep you satisfied, and they brew you up a real cup of coffee. Prices are reasonable across the board – you can eat here every day and still not break the bank. Same goes if you need a bottle of water or a couple of soft drinks – no need to search all over (not many stores nearby).
Staff – Here is what really sets Waterjade apart. The attention to detail and friendliness of the staff is what you would expect from a much larger or more expensive resort. Yet, it is the small intimate feel that makes staying here such a tailored experience for each guest. Case in point – our flight arrived very late at night, and we didn’t get to the resort until 3:30am. We called ahead to let them know, and despite the fact that their front desk closes at 9pm, they had someone stay and wait for us to show us to our room.
Definitely hope to go back here again someday, and would certainly recommend to my family and friends on their visit to Thailand.

Room Tip: Go with any of the deluxe rooms if your budget will allow - they are well worth the extra Baht.

This is a very lovely little hotel about 30 min north of phuket airport. The location is remote and very quiet and idyllic. There's a great beach about 1.5km away from the hotel. You will have almost the whole beach to yourself. The hotel rents out motorbikes and bicycles for very reasonable prices if you don't feel like walking. The owner and staff are lovely and genuinly friendly. Lilly the owner speaks very good english and is always helpful and nice. We had one of the 5 lagoon villas with a porch overlooking the lagoon and a gorgeous bathroom with a big tub an outdoor shower and even a sauna! The rate is very reasonable for what you get. We always ate at the resort's restaurant which offers excellent and authentic thai food. This is the pefect place to relax and unwind away from the hustle and bustle. We will definitely come back.

Room Tip: Get one of the lagoon villas

Not for everybody. We didn't like it. We are young and not demanding but managed to stay there only one night despite booking three. The place was in the middle of nowhere. Nothing to do, nothing to see, the ONLY restaurant was at the hotel and was very poor, hardly edible food but still quite expensive. Shower outside with cold water only, the nearest beach was quite distant, empty and dirty. Neighborhood v. poor. Taxi service overpriced. Staff speaking poor English. Photos were obviously taken ages ago when the hotel was in better condition. Definitely it is not a Health&Spa Resort as advertised but maybe a poor motel. Massage is done on the reception's floor. Hotel is quite old and worn. Bikes to rent also old. It may be good for people looking for real isolation. I would not recommend it
