“Amazing and well worth visiting”

Namtok Ron (Hot Spring Waterfall ) - Khlong Thom
Reviewed September 3, 2013

Such an unusual and nice experience! We went quite early in the morning which meant it was not as busy as it seems to have got as there were bus loads arriving when we were leaving. It is small - yes, but it is a natural pool...therefore it can't be any bigger. I would recommend moving down the pools and finishing with a dip in the cold river at the end

I wasn't really expecting much after all the negative reviews on here about this place but we loved it! We went today (August - low season) about lunch time and it wasn't overly busy. We got into the pools/springs straight away and were in for about an hour. They're so warm, about 40-50 degrees.
It's a lovely walk to the pools as well if you go by the concrete raised walkway (not many people seemed to go this way) and there's a cute little waterfall on the way.
Definitely recommend to go here, it's better than the emerald pool which is overpriced and very busy with lots of screaming kids splashing about!

The hot springs was so small....really a tourist trap. Even though it has shapes of tubs...it barely can fit 20 people. If you want to come here, you need to come when there is no one around! We were here during low peak season and there were still tons of people!

Lucky for us, we didnt have the intention to soak in the water. So we just dipped our fit to test the heat. Went back to the hotel and soaked myself hot water in the bathtub...and it probably would have felt the same as the hot springs.

Crowded, access to pool tricky but fun, unique and if you can get over your Western feelings of 'ugh, so many people in such a small space', you can have a bit of fun. Below the springs a tepid pool with a rope and a vine hanging down for swinging into the water.

This is one of the socalled attractions in Thailand where foreigners by 5 times the price for the entrance fee than thais.
The waterfall is so small, that it is impossible to find a place to sit. Waste of your time and money. Just forget it.
