“Nice place, worth seeing it!”

Namtok Ron (Hot Spring Waterfall ) - Khlong Thom
Reviewed October 27, 2012

I visited the Hot Spring as part of a day tour from Ao Nang, which also included the Tiger Cave Temple and the Emerald Pond. Although I preferred the Tiger Cave Temple and the Emerald Pond, the Hot Spring was still very nice and it's worth seeing. It was a great day out. Make sure you take a hat, sun screen, bathers and a towel.

It is so cool to spend time and relax in hot spring waterfall. I don't know if it is natural or not, but the waterfalls are very beautiful and warm. It's a pity that they are small, but you can have a great time there.

Really can't see the point of travelling for an hour to sit with a load of sweating tourists in a puddly warm waterfall. Far more appealing was the walkway through the jungle which follows the path of the hot stream.

This was a highlight of our biking tour, and just amazing. Hard to photograph though! The top pools are all about 40 degrees, and as you slide downwards the temperatures drop slightly. Like a natural spa pool (jacuzzi), you can sit under a waterfall and have a natural massage! Then, slide on into the pool at the bottom which is nice and cold. Fantastic

We visited the Hot Spring Waterfall as part of a day trip from Ao Nang, including the Tiger Cave Temple and the Emerald Pond, hiring a car and driver for 2,000 bht ($65) for the day. After spending the morning at the Tiger Cave Temple, we drove south, past Krabi and through Klong Thom into the interior to the Klong Thom Thermal Waterfall in a national park. Here at the entrance was the usual cluster of food stands, where we had some nibblies before walking through the tropical forest to the hot stream, a 42 degree thermal spring and several small pools. Quite a few people were lounging in the hot water and enjoying the feeling of the rushing thermal stream running over their bodies. After our tiring climb up the mountain at the Tiger Cave Temple, these waters felt great. However, the hot ponds are very small and crowded and the waterfall is very tiny. There's not much else to see here; I wouldn't bother unless you're doing this as part of a day trip to other places.
