This is our 2nd time stayed here. Both of us don't play golf but we love the scenery and the location of the hotel. The first time of our stay, we rent the bicycle of the hotel but that's not a good idea as the hotel bike does not suit the landscape here. So, recently, when we bought our own bikes, we thought of this hotel and decided to be here again. We did have a great time. The staffs here are great. they are polite and service mind, including the dining room staffs.

I love the privacy layout design here. I feel like u r left alone from ur front porch. Selection whether to tale buffet breakfast at the main dining or to take in room breakfast service from buffet line are perfection choice for someone required privacy. A bit disappointed with spa service that even though we booked but it was delayed for almost an hour till we decided to cancel. The rest is great, in room decorations, huge bathtub for two, etc. Good place and wanna go back again.

Would like to declare that I was at the resort for golf and did not stay a night. There are three 9 -hole golf courses and each of them are challenging . I personally found creek nine very very difficult- so you can imagine what the scores are like. Haha. The courses require one to hv pin point precision and fairways are tight. Even if one is regulation on, the greens are usually elevated, huge and undulating. In some cases, the greens are tiered. The hotels look very nice from exterior. Did not view any from inside. Food at the cafe/restaurant is tasty. Although mountain creek is located at the highway, you really need to be a golfer and hv access to transport to fully appreciate and enjoy this place. Weather in December is beautiful- cool breeze with mild sunlight. Makes one want to play all 27 holes- that is if you hv not thrown away some of yr clubs due to frustration.

The drive out there would have put most people into a soporific stupor. However, as the van rounds the corner of the driveway up to the Mountain Creek clubhouse, the first peek of it will definitely light a fire under most golfers. This modern clubhouse was designed to showcase the stunning views that it enjoys, perched as it is on a hillside overlooking a broad valley. It is through this valley that most of the golf will be played and enjoyed.
First, the locker rooms were immaculately well appointed, better than those in some of the top resorts that are littered throughout Thailand. The local fare at the café was good enough for us to eat both lunch and dinner there. Service was extraordinary, which is saying a lot in Thailand. From the moment you alight the van, warm smiles greet you all the way through the reception, locker room to the first and last tee box.
However, this Seve designed course has teeth behind those beguiling smiles! Bring your A-game along or bring a big bag of golf balls, take your pick. As I don't have an A-game, I brought a big bag. And when I was through that, I dipped into my friends even bigger bag!
This is a mountain course ( as its name implies! ). That means small landing area, jungle/ravine/rocks on either side, period, especially on the Highland 9. Take your caddie's advice and try to put it as close as you can to where they point, or danger lurks.
Tight fairways were punishing, but the greens were just as sadistic. Many were elevated type greens that sloped away and ringed by bunkers. For those with PGA type backspins, this is fine. For the lesser mortals like me, hybrid wood approaches rarely held the greens. In fairness, the line and speed of all putts was fairly consistent and true throughout all 18 holes. A testament of the great effort invested in maintenance.
The one standout hole which every one 'complained' about was the first hole on the Valley course. A short dogleg right with a bunch of rocks occupying the entire fairway at the elbow of the dogleg. Too short a drive and you would not have an approach. You would be forced to layup short of the rocks before the crook of the dogleg which did not leave a clean approach into a well guarded downhill green. The same situation confronts those who drive longer but are too far right to clear the trees. The only halfway decent chance was to land it into a beach towel size area on the top left edge of the dogleg ...without going into the jungle in front and on the left! Only someone the likes of Seve can negotiate this hole in regulation.
In a word, this golf course is unforgettable. You would reach both your personal golf highs and lows. It left you wanting more. We finished an 18 in the morning, had a light lunch and when we had suitably fortified ourselves with ample Singha, we ventured forth to do battle again. No doubt, many more would find it a great experience to do battle with this beast of a course.

It seems it is far from Khao Yai but i can say that is one of challenging for the hotel how to hold or make its guest impressed. I think the hotel could do that. Nice place, quiet, privacy..,, yes I did really like it. Just one thing about dinner at pool bar. There are not various food in the menu. I think this is the one should be improved. It would help guest not try to find dinner somewhere else.

I was impressed by the room, spacious, modern and quiet. I do not play golf, so I can not say anything about that. The Wifi worked OK, although my 3G connection was a bit faster. The big letdown was the food. The thai dishes I ordered were mediocre at best. I also tried a hamburger, but even the waiter agreed it looked too unappetizing to touch. All in all a nice enough play to stay but needs attention in several areas of service.

Dear Mr. Derk W,

Many thanks for reviewing our property on TripAdvisor. We are happy to know that you were impressed by our modern yet spacious and quite accommodation during your recent stay. While drawing inspiration from your encouraging comments, we have conducted an inquiry to find out what went wrong on that day when you ordered your food at our restaurant.

According to our staff, you have ordered E-sarn (Northeastern) Burger, which is primarily prepared with minced pork and ground rice. The ingredients and preparation method of an E-sarn Burger are quite different from that of a normal Hamburger. It could be due to this reason that you did not like what was presented to you. In any case, please accept our sincere apologies for not meeting your expectations.

Our Operations executives and staff have already been instructed to explain guests about various menu items, especially local and fusion dishes, in greater detail.

Rest assured that you will not have a similar experience again at our restaurant. Your continued patronage is of utmost importance to us here at Mountain Creek and we promise you will enjoy every moment of your stay with us during your next visit.

We look forward to welcoming you back soon.

Truly At Your Service,

Mountain Creek Team

Less than one year old, Mountain Creek golf Resort is a good alternative to the well established Kirimaya Golf Resort near by. However the golf course here is very challenging, you really need to be a very good golfer to appreciate and enjoy the course. The hotel itself is well fitted, and tastefully decorated, and the staff here are very polite and helpful. There are a few things that could be improved: 1. For a five star resort, I believe the toiletries and loo paper in the bathroom should be of higher quality, in addition, the resort should provide hair conditioner. 2. There is room for improvement on the breakfast front. 3. The 2 restaurants need to serve food of much higher standards, right now the best food is outside the hotel at a local restaurant - Suan Mueng Porn - which is about 5km from the hotel.
