We arrived at 6am (after a 5 hour minibus ride from BKK) - and even though the restaurant opens at 8am ... not only did they let us sit (it's a pavilion style restaurant, like most in SE Asia) at the tables, but they turned the lights on, and called the cook to come early.

I communicated sunny side up with slightly runny yolk to them some how - and the eggs were perfect.

The price couldn't have been better - super cheap.

The view - although it was raining while we were there - was great - the restaurant is built right on the coastline, and you can watch the waves roll in. Fantastic!

As I was hoping to go to the ATM, which incidentally in Thai is ATM, I was told it was a ten minute walk one way .... I gestured towards a bicycle that was parked outside, and after a moment to think about it, was lent the bicycle.

When they heard that we were hoping to take the water-taxi, they called the water-taxi company and got them to come pick us up.

Found this place via four-square while we stayed at the Centara resort in Trat. Looked like a shack on the side of the street, but the food was very fresh and deliciously cooked - even my mom, who's Taiwanese and can be picky with most things and especially when it comes to seafood, was very happy with the food.

They usually have giant prawns (as I've seen from the four square pictures posted by Thai customers) but didn't have them because of the season, but we had the most amazing sea bass cooked in spicy and sour soup!! Very little English at this place, so get out your Thai dictionary app!
