We were looking for a very relaxed place to enjoy sun, eachother, our baby and the specific Thai ambiance. Mango Beach Resort is the place to be if you in need for these important things.

We both have been a lot in Thailand. We have seen it all and this time we just wanted to chill and relax. Mango Beach Resorts fits that profile! A beautiful new resort with a level of luxery you will hardly find somewhere else in Thailand for that price. Beautiful rooms with perfect (big) beds, new and fresh linnen and very very clean. Good shower and nice tub (jacuzzi!).

The 20 meter pool is outstanding and the view from the pool to the sea beautiful. A very wide beach which makes it possible to make long beachwalks or a morning/afternoon run. Massages are on request and there is a gym which has all you need to keep up your training program.

The whole resort has a chill karma. The cocktailbar is very relaxed, both inside as outside and the bartender knows his cocktails. Ask him anything and he will surprise you! The staff in general is very nice and their service level is high. Manager Valerie does everything to make your stay as perfect as possible. The restaurant is good and on our request they added some specific Thai disches to the menu such as Tod Man Pla (Fishcakes) and a Massaman Curry. So don't hessitate to ask if you would like something else what's not on the menu because they can and will make it all.

So, I know this all sounds as a commercial leaflet, you ask yourself if there is not 1 negative thing to point out? Yes there is: The Mango Beach Resort lays in the middle of nowhere. There is absolutely nothing else in the neighbourhood. No shops, no specific other thai restaurants, no 200 bath massage salons, no villages, no cities (Trat=75 km) and even no other resorts. You are on your own. Well... you are on your own with your own loves, with excellent staff and in a resort where you don't need anything else. So, for us… PERFECT!

P.s: also if you are planning a (road)trip to Cambodia than The Mango Beach Resort is a perfect place to start or end your trip. It's just before the border.

Mango Beach Resort is indeed a beautiful and relaxing place. The hotel is clean, well take care and the staff very friendly. The swimming pool is localted in a way that while you are swimming you can see the sea. We were in one of the pool rooms, since were a bit cheaper, it was very nice. The area where the hotel is located is wondefull due to is not exploted and full of turists. There is a small fishing village next to the hotel were the people are very friendly and curious (mostly the children). Around 3Km walk through the beach (which is easy to walk) there is another village where you can eat.
The breakfast let us a bit down, since the pastries weren't good, but the juices were fresh. The waitress were very polite and friendly but lack experience and we had some missunderstandings (to be honest, not a big deal for us, but...).
Overall, Mango Beach Resort is one of those places that is better to visit now before it became and exploted area, this is if you are looking for a relaxing a quite place.

New construction with all the amenities. Very courteous and efficient staff. Grounds and swimming pool outstanding. A great place to get away from city bustle and just relax. Rooms are similar to first class accommodations at any five star hotel.

We saw a lot from Thailand years ago but, we didn't expect to find this place after coming back when we passed the border from Cambodia. Mango Beach Resort is placed in the middle of a beautiful thai landscape, next to some quiet beaches and some beautiful small fishing-villages if you want to see something 'really' special. The resort provides you the bikes to visite them.

The staff is billiant.
We met Louis and his lovely assistents and they're amazing.
We wanted to stay for a night and move on towards Bangkok, but they made us 'that' comfortable and we stayed for 3 days. The resort was fully booked, but someway somehow they organised us a bungelow for the extra nights. We loved it!

From our 2 months journey in asia, this was one of our favourite places.
Because tourism didn't kill this area yet, we really got in touch with Thailand for the second time.

Tip: Go take them kajaks and make a right at the beach. You'll love the view passing by the sandy beaches and lovely houses. Go a little further and you'll only see Thai people having a good time on the beach with their cars and picknickbaskets under the palm trees.

This hotel is amazing. It is located in a very sleepy part of Thailand - nothing is going on here, meaning that you will find no shopping, restaurants or bars nearby. However, if you are looking for somewhere to completely relax, this is your place.

The hotel is beautiful, absolutely spotless and well taken care of. Since the hotel is relatively new, they are constantly improving it. During our stay the menus were replaced, and now the kitchen afford a large menu with different kind of thai and western food. The food is really good, but of course a bit "expensive" if you compare to "cheap" thai food at local restaurants. The bartender makes you great cocktails and smoothies.

Breakfast is great: Different choices of toast, muffins, croissants, etc. Fruit yogurt or plain yogurt with different types of cereals. Lots of fresh fruit, fruit salad, and fresh fruit juices. Your choice of egg, served with sausage and bacon if you like.

The beach is very beautiful and calm, nothing but white sand and turquoise water. The hotel provides a lot of sunbeds, both by the beach and by the pool. The gym is good. Wi-fi works well everywhere including the rooms, in the garden, and at the beach.

The hotel provides you with bikes for free, and just a short ride away (10-12 min) you can find the public beach with some local and simple cafés serving you snacks and cheap food, if you like street food. However, it might be difficult to bike their by night, since the rood is very dark after sunset.

There is a small local shop about 1,5 km away, with a limited selection, however with a good range of snacks and alcoholic beverages if you are into that.

If you wish to have a pleasant and relaxing stay with no distractions whatsoever, then this is the place.
