We first went to this little haven in March, during the dry season. We didn't stay at the hotel, but we did experience the restaurant/bar, and had a tour of the property. Robbie and Heidi, the proprietors, have a nifty little place here! Robbie has taken the time to landscape the area using mostly local tropical plants, and is now working on planting coconut trees! He's created a little oasis for the local Muscovy ducks, geese, turtles, and other critters, and sees to it that they are all well fed and happy! It's fun watching them interact. It's also fun people-watching here! There are lots of local "regulars" who obviously feel right at home here...and that a great sign of a friendly, welcoming establishment. When in unfamiliar territory, go where the locals go!
