A lovely pub, obviously popular. We arrived early for a weekday lunch and just as well as it got busy very quickly.
There was an excellent choice of decent food, from sausage and mash (local wild boar and apple sausages-which were delicious) to Sole with new potatoes. The pie we had was full of the tenderest local meat braised in Guinness.
It arrived promptly and hot.
There was a garden with a small play area for children.
All in all very worth another visit, as nothing to fault.
