Very comfortable, very clean and the staff couldn't be more helpful. The room was big and everything worked, and the bed was just right. We didn't even have our heating on and the room was a very comfortable temperature. Our bathroom had a shower over the bath, and both worked fine, good temperature and water pressure and no damp bathroom smells! Breakfast wasn't great - as other commenters have said, the pub over the road is better, or you can get a good cheap brekkie at Barton Grange.

Now if they can only sort the weather too... ;)

Stayed here for one night to attend a wedding in the locality. It was very well situated and the hotel was very clean. The room was comfortable with a large bed and all the basic facilities one requires ie kettle, hairdryer, shampoo, TV etc.
In addition the staff were most friendly and helpful. One touch we liked was they rang you a few days before hand to check whether you required anything special ie ground floor room (no lifts here) and we were able to ask for extra pillows.
The remote did not work on the TV and they put new batteries in as soon as it was reported and provided an additional heater for the room when we said it was rather too cold.
Couldn't ask for better service if we had been in a 4 star hotel! Will look for Premier Inns in the future as they are excellent value for money.
Cannot comment on any meals as we did not eat at the local pub associated with the hotel.

We stayed in this inn has alternative to owd nells guys across the road two nights cost us £91 at guys would have been £150 couldn't fault the the hotel itself, but if you want a good deal on breakfast take the short walk across to owd nells save yourself about £2 per head. Staff in both hotel and the the attached Roebuck pub are very friendly and would stay again for sure.

Stayed at this Premier Inn for the firat time after 5 nights at Blackpool East primarily to shop in Preston and surrounding ares and visit the fabulous Barton Grange Garden Centre Xmas display and Farm Shop. We were absolutely over the moon with this Inn. Extremeley high stands of cleanliness and comfort, small and intimate and the nicest, freindliest and helpful Reception staff I have come across. The Roebuck , where breakfast is taken, is a super restaurant. We had an evening meal there which was excellent as was an evening meal just across the road at the White Bull which was super value and a cosy pub. Not that far from Blackpool either. We will certainly be staying here again. Well done

Have stayed at many Premier Inn Hotels and I have to say I agree with yandc. It is very dated. The bathroom was small and had an unpleasant odour. It was quite dated. The staff couldnt be any more helpful. The lady on reception was very kind and helped me with a good route into Blackpool. Stayed 2 nights. The neighbouring pub where they served breakfast did very good evening meals at very good prices. The first breakfast was not impressive, however, second morning breakfast was much better. In general, the hotel didnt live up to the expectation I had of a Premier Inn. It is a shame as the staff are lovely

Room Tip: Ground floor rooms very quiet considering they are close to Reception

me and my family stayed here for half term as we were visiting the illuimations in blackpool. as there are 6 of us it was great to get the bargain saver room rates which was a massive saving and help to us. This was literally jjst a stop over hotel and somewhere to rest our heads. The hotel is in need of upgrading especially the TV. The Bed lived up to the premeir inn standard as i didnt wanna get up. The receptionist was extremely helpful.
Sadly the resturant let our stay down. Lovely looking pub, but the sever who greeted us was not very accomodating, as we didnt know if we would make breakfast we didnt pre book so just walked in , to which he let out a huge sigh and it appearred most inconveiniant, the family who walked in behind us also got greeted the same way as they too just walked in. Once our table was ready order was taken fine so we helped our selves to buffet table. badly stocked not refilled often, dirty plates, felt very rough like dishwasher not cleaning correctly. Once order came out it was wrong on 2 plates but as he was soooooooooooooo busy due to him being on his own we just left it as it was. The poor gentleman who was serving should be retired and i really dont want to seem as through im paronising him in any way as fair play to him, but he should not be walking a busy sunday morning breakfast by himself. he cant do anything that is required so this is very poor resturant management as i was informed by hotel they are staffed separatly as put is own brand. The lady i spoke to who said she was there just to audit the bar stated that i wasnt half term in their area so didnt think it was going to be very busy??? this is poor management becasue you should know what your social calendar is and know that each area is subject to school holidays falling on different days?? The gentle serving is wearing a premier inn badge so this is a reflection on your brand regardless. I did speak to someone in the resturant to point this out and the breakfast server seemed quite relived to have someone fighting his corner.
Apart fromthis we enjoyed our stay it was very cheap and comfy for our requirements.

Unfortunately for this Premier Inn we had spent the previous 3 nights in the Premier Inn West in Inverness and the two hotels were like chalk and cheese! I will say that the staff in the Hotel were very friendly and our only main criticism is really to do with the actual building, as it is very dated! Our family room was very cramped compared with Inverness, the bathroom was prone to getting very wet around the sink area. However if it was OK for a one night stay and had I not had the Inverness Premier Inn to compare it to I would not have been so critical. One other gripe I have is that the 'restaurant' is accessed by going outside to the neighbouring pub which isn't ideal in inclement weather. We had a wait of nearly an hour for our main course that evening even though the 'pub' did not appear to be particularly busy. When it eventually did arrive the kids pizzas were so cold that they couldn't eat them, they were deducted from the bill. Breakfast the following morning was good.
