We stayed here to celebrate our first wedding anniversary having found a Groupon for £99 for two nights including breakfast and delicious welsh cakes.
We stayed in the green room which was beautiful. The whole guesthouse was very well presented, the staff couldn't do enough to help you, we even had an anniversary card! We had dinner on the first night and it was fantastic and very reasonably priced.
The guesthouse is well located for the Brecon beacons, a short drive away.
I would happily stay here again.

Soar Chapel is a gem. A sensitive modern adaptation of a former church hidden away in Beaufort, upper Ebbw Vale and close to the Heads of the Valleys main link road, this bed and breakfast is stylish, small and compact, and beautifully presented. Family run this is a traditionally 'Welsh-friendly' establishment, and regular guests are cared for as though part of the family. Very good value Soar Chapel offers home cooked evening meals and a hearty breakfast to send you on your way. This is a must visit with the Brecon Beacon and South Wales industrial heritage sites only a short drive away.

We were unsure on what to expect when we first booked- we certainly didn't expect such a warm reception with staff bending over backwards to assist us; from sterilising our baby bottles and keeping us supplied with complimentary cakes and ideas on where to take the children. The guesthouse itself is a gorgeous converted chapel. Breakfast was superb, the best eggs benedict I've ever had. Definately recommend.

Just came back from a 3 night stay, must say one of the nicest B and B's we have stayed in.
Family run, everybody made you feel welcome. The whole place has been recently renovated to a high standard. Massive lounge area, with comfortable chairs and a massive flat screen tele. 32 inch flat screens in all the bedrooms. They also do evening meals at £12 for 2 courses.
The food is plain cooking but very good, very close to the Brecon Beacons, can highly recommend this B & B.

Room Tip: All the rooms I saw looked very nice, some rooms where upstairs, our room had just a shower which was fine

We had a really lovely stay. Leslie was so accommodating and friendly it made us feel at home. She really took care of our 27 month old son as they put on a toddler bed for him in our room and at breakfast he had kid friendy dishes and cutlery! We would highly recommend it and would definitely stay again if we come back to the area.
