We spent a wonderful week at Villa La Trinità. Each couple had a luxurious bedroom with ensuite bath, and access to the entire villa - a stately 19th-century mansion with a lovely pool, set in a park of green lawns, glorious trees, lavender and roses. It was a perfect base for discovering the land of the ancient Etruscans and Romans, both by car and on foot: there are countless scenic paths to explore. Michela made us all feel at home and treated us like family. Highly recommended!
The villa is located in the midst of the beautiful Lazio area, and about one hour drive from the center of Rome. The area is rich with archaeological sites especially from the Etruscan culture, the amazing Villa Lante, endless woods where one can wonder around on foot or bicycle and small shops that offer cheese, meat, vegetables, fresh pasta and all the other good things that Italy has to offer. The villa itself is beautiful, with huge grounds. Everything is well kept, and though we were not able to use the pool because of the weather, it looks great. Michela, the owner, was extremely nice and helpful.
We come to Italy at least once a year, usually to Tuscany, but now we added Lazio as a preferred destination to our family travel map.
We have had a wonderful time at your beautiful place. The food has been excellent and the hospitality is amazing. It’s such a peaceful place which was just what we needed as a contrast to our normal, hectic life. Thank you so much for everything. Hope to see you again, maybe with our families next time.
We stayed for a week at La Trinita and loved it. The house is beautiful and yet really comfortable too. It has a great pool so we spent a lot of time relaxing at the villa but we also visited interesting places in the local area and also made a couple of trips to Rome. The owners were really helpful and explained how everything worked and gave us lots of useful tips about the area too. It was a brilliant location for a family holiday and we hope to go back.
Excellent place, large, very clean, very quiet, Surrounded by a great park. We were a family of 4, including two young children - they loved the swimming pool and could bike around the place safely. Paolo and Michela were very kind and helpful. The area has lots of things to do and see and is child friendly - close to the sea and a few lakes, with good and relatively inexpensive restaurants. Close enough to Rome for day trips or spend a few days in the city sightseeing at the end of your stay. Very highly recommended.
Villa la Trinita is a perfect place to stay for a holiday in Northern Lazio...in particular the Tusca area. It is only an hour from Rome and in the middle of Etruscan history. It is near Sutri where we spent three hours exploring and enjoying surprising features including ancient caves with frescoes and an amazing Roman amphitheatre. A short drive away are unique Italian gardens (Villa Lante) and a remarkable peony flower farm (Vitorchiano) covering many acres. The Palazzo Farnese at Caprarola is a must see for anyone appreciating frescoes and Viterbo is close by and and full of papal history.
Villa la Trinita is a jewel in a tranquil country setting to return to after busy days in the beautiful countryside. Our stay with Michaela was a highlight of our 4 weeks touring Italy.
My boyfriend and I were looking for a place to stay near Capranica and we found the site of this wonderful Villa. When we arrived the first thing I thought was that for the first time I found a place that actually looks exactly like the picture I found on the internet. It is often the case that you have high expectations from the photo’s you find on the internet and end up disappointed when you arrive at the place. This is not the case at Villa la Trinita and you will not be disappointed. The place and the surrounding have warm and tranquil atmosphere so it immediately feels like a holiday.
First of all it complies with the minimum in sense of that it is clean, the garden and surrounding is very well maintained, the pool is lovely, the breakfast is very good. Always fresh coffee and if you like you can ask for eggs without a problem.
Secondly what can not be left out is the incredible hospitality of the family that runs the place. You can ask them anything at any time and they will do everything to make you at ease. They will give you great tips for restaurants nearby for lunch or dinner. If you want to do activities they can arrange guided visits and sightseeings since they know the area very well and have good contacts around. Also the beach is easily to reach if you come with a car.
We had such a wonderful stay here, very relaxed and at the same time exciting depending on your wishes. We will definitely come back!
