“Great location”

We hit the market on all our trips to Rosemary Beach. The Friday night wine happy hour with live music is our favorite time. Great location, good food. Service can be troublesome depending on crowd.

“Great wine selection, great food”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 22, 2013

Disappointed and surprised by the multiple references to service issues. The two times we ate there our service was just fine. The food was excellent, including the chowder, salads (tuna and green tomato/crab), and my red snapper special were all top shelf. Both times we were there was non-summer season, so maybe the summer load, which put local friends say was the heaviest they have had in the past five years put a little stress on them. Food is too good not to give owner George a shot on this one!

“Really good food but service needs to step it up”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 21, 2013

Wild Olives is downstairs from my friend's condo in Barrett Square in Rosemary Beach so we really want it to be fabulous. However, our visits have been hit or miss. Food has consistently been good but service seemed scattered and we found ourselves asking for water, another glass of wine and condiments 2 or 3 times before our server would remember the item. Maybe the guy was just overwhelmed with several tables and struggling.
With a live purple flower sitting on top, the Moroccan Scallops appetizer is as beautiful as it is delicious. Green grapes with a lemon sauce take this dish to the next level. The Shrimp Chowder is also very good and I highly recommend a cup to start your experience.
Outside tables are nice when the weather is cooler. As well, on Friday afternoons they have a wine tasting with live music.

“Good and bad”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 12, 2013

We have eaten at Wild Olives once each year, the last few years, when we visit Florida. We loved their crab cakes and their salads this trip, and have enjoyed some other selections on their menu in the past. The service, the attentiveness, and the attitude of the servers needs to improve for them to become a great place to eat. It is good to sit in their outside seating with a nice view. It is bad to sit out there sometimes and wonder if the staff forgot about you. We wanted to love Wild Olives, but they could improve their service.

“Great Spot”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 20, 2013

A perfect alternative to all of the other restaurants with a more formal dining atmosphere. During our stay, we ate at virtually all of the local notable restaurants, which were all pretty good, but I think that we enjoyed this the best because the food quality was very good and the service as well, but frankly the atmosphere was more comfortable. Personally, if I am on vacation, spending the day on the beach, I want casual, outdoors, music, and tasty creative food and that's what you get here...and a decent wine list.
