Have been coming to the area for 9 years and visited many restaurants. Restaurant Paradis was Highly recommended to us. We went with a group of 6 couples and had a wonderful time. Many of my friends felt it was perhaps the best food on 30-A. That is saying a lot.
The place is elegantly decorated and the staff was very attentive. It did provide for outdoor seating and welcomed even casually dressed patrons ( which is true for most beach venues)
The food was very good especially the specials ( soft shelled crab w lumped crabmeat and the eggplant soup). The option for surf and turf was a hit with some if the people In our group ESP the lobster thermador. Wine options are very good. The entrees ranged between 28-40 dollars. Surf and turf about 50.

The food was great and will be a place we come back to visit

Ambiance is nice, but some of the staff could use some retraining, which marred our experience. The food, when we ultimately got it, was excellent, but it was a very long wait, and not the place to go if you are famished as we were. We were told an hour wait at 8 pm, which is the norm at this time, and especially for a party of 8. Wait was said to be 1/2 that for two parties of 4, which we then requested, as most had not eaten since 7 a.m. did to travelling. We sat in bar waiting for Hostess to alert us when table ready. After an hour, I checked back with her, and she had to check the list again (bar is very small and we were only large party in there, sitting about 8 ft from her in her direct line of vision), and said she could seat our party of 8 right away if our bar tab was settled...um ...what?!? Did she forget about us, and the special request to split us up to be seated earlier? Why didn't she get come get us immediately when the table became available? Very bad service on her part, she was manning the desk the whole time, it wasn't like she was running around. Waitress went missing after the initial greeting, we had to flag her down after 20 minutes to take our order. Then we waited and waited only to be told the redfish special which half the table ordered had been pulled due to quality concerns. After the reorder, still more waiting, found manager to check on the order, then at last we were served our meals!! Entire party said food was worth the wait. Service overall was not impressive, especially for a restaurant in this price range. Hope we just caught them on an off night.

The manager, Michael, is such a sweetheart! The bar was the perfect place to start the evening off, I'd suggest the Strawberry Lemon Drop Martini. The food was impeccably prepared... Couldn't ask for more! Short walk to the beach, that was the perfect end to the meal... Can't wait to return.
