Owner description: Blakemere Village is a fun destination for families of all age groups. Daily activities to help keep the little ones entertained as well as helping to burn off some of that energy. A play barn, a paint-a-pot and candle making studio, a falconry, pet shop, toy shop as well as segway experiences open 7 days a week and a lovely restaurant serving home cooked food and snacks. A free outside adventure play park if the weather is kind to us along with an adjacent wood to explore as well as lots of boutique style shops selling everything from furniture, gifts and sweets to clothes, crafts and golfing equipment. Originally developed as a craft centre in 1994, Blakemere is now celebrating its 22nd anniversary. Open 7 days a week from 10am til 5pm, free to enter and free to park.

Really visited to see the bird of prey demo. This was very good and worth the £2.50.
Not sure the extra £1.50 to go into the aviary was good value, but it was raining heavily at the time so didn't spend much time there.
Can get expensive if you try to go into everything - a day pass ticket to let you go in to everything might be better value.
From a previous visit, I emember several craft outlets which are now hair salon, beautician etc.
Good Aquatics centre if you are looking to set up an aquarium.
At least can have picnic - tables available but need more toilet facilities - we were using a portacabin - only cold water & nowhere to dry hands.

Took my 3 children(aged 6,8,10yrs)here after picking up a brochure in the hotel and was pleasantly surprised by how much we all enjoyed it. The boys really enjoyed the Birds of Prey display and the aviary- shows at 1&3pm not 2/4pm as advertised in brochure. My daughter had a great time in the Bead Trail making bracelets to bring home as gifts - staff were so helpful that even the boys joined in and made their own bracelets! They all enjoyed pottering around the shops, spending their holiday money - they had a great time in the antiques shop looking at all the "olden time stuff!"I can understand how it could end up being an expensive day out for some as there were lots of temptations(ice cream, bakery, sweet shop, rides)but we didn't mind as we were on our holidays. There is an outdoor play park and a picnic area so you could make use of these to reduce cost.

Visited primarily to visit the antiques centre but enjoyed browsing around the other units. There is plenty on offer to amuse all members of the family and also a cafe/restaurant to take a break. Certainly worthy of a visit.

Took the kids was a rainy day so not fun! The craft centre was VERY expensive and overpriced!! The website has not been updated so the prices shown for crafts where under £5 so we thought it was okay, when we arrived it was all around £10/12 and the staff were not polite. Although there was a good sized playground for the little ones and a nice Bead making place called 'The Bead Trail' all staff were polite there and the older ones loved making the beaded bracelets!! There was a small play barn but again it was not cheap!! - A good place if you want to spend loads entertaining the kids, not so good if you want a cheap day out!!
