Walking around Briedel we talked to an Englishman at a closed restaurant. He recommended Korkenzieher, so we walked there and took a table on the back porch. My wife and I shared a pork chop dinner, which was plenty for a retired couple. The chop was amazingly tender. How did they do it I wonder. We really enjoyed the food and enjoyed trying to chat with wait staff, they with their broken English, we with our broken German. We had a bottle of local red wine that seemed like the smoothest wine we had ever had -- very reasonably priced.
