We went to this place as well as Paul's Place. I think both are worth doing if you have the time. We really liked feeding the kangaroos at KI Wildlife Park because their weren't emu's and other animals fighting for the food like at Paul's Place. The only downside was that parts of the field were really swampy and my feet got soaked. You can hold koalas at both places. It was $10/person at KIWP and $3/person at Paul's Place. There are new owners at KIWP and they seem very nice. It's helpful to have a guide give you a tour as sometimes it is difficult to figure out what you are looking at.

Our visit to the Kangaroo Island Wildlife Park was one of my favorite parts of our visit to Australia. We were able to go into the enclosures to feed the kangaroos. We visited with the new owners and were able to hold a baby koala named Chloe and a baby kangaroo! The new owner spent some time talking with us about their plans for the park, while showing us the new baby echidna named Bubbles. We had such a wonderful time and learned a lot about all of the animals there. Before our trip to Kangaroo Island, I read some not so great things on trip advisor and was a little uncertain about visiting this location. But the new owners are very outgoing and personable and working hard to make the wildlife park even better than it is. This is definitely a must see when visiting Kangaroo Island!

The wildlife park is a true beauty, many different animals to see and interact with. We fed the kangaroos in their enclosure and were able to interact with koalas as part of the entrance fee. To top it off the staff were knowledgeable and helpful. To finish off our visit we had a barista made coffee and were run back in to Parndana by a staff member due to our vehicle breaking down. Will visit again when children are older.

While we were buying our tickets I said I also wanted the koala wildlife experience. By the time we were done, there was the keeper with little baby (koala) Chloe in her arms for my boys to cuddle. Insert many awwwwwsssss!!! Unlike other places where you get a quick photo, they were each allowed to hold her for a long time for $10 each and we all got to stroke her soft fur (again, awwwww!!)
We bought food and then spent a long time with the kangaroos and wallabies feeding them. The new owners are definitely doing a good job with all the renovations and opening up new enclosures.

This little park was a wonderful stop for my 8 year old daughter who adored spending time with all the animals and especially loved cuddling baby Chloe the Koala. For an extra $10, she was allowed to hold the koala for 10 minutes and feed it leaves whilst I videoed and took photos.

We also had a really good feeding and photo session with the beautiful kangaroos.

Even though this is a small park, they had all the right things for our aussie wildlife needs. They are also getting penguins in the near future as the Kingscote penguin viewing tour has closed due to the seals eating all the penguins!
I recommend this as a value-for-money stop on your tour of the island.
