While we were buying our tickets I said I also wanted the koala wildlife experience. By the time we were done, there was the keeper with little baby (koala) Chloe in her arms for my boys to cuddle. Insert many awwwwwsssss!!! Unlike other places where you get a quick photo, they were each allowed to hold her for a long time for $10 each and we all got to stroke her soft fur (again, awwwww!!)
We bought food and then spent a long time with the kangaroos and wallabies feeding them. The new owners are definitely doing a good job with all the renovations and opening up new enclosures.

This little park was a wonderful stop for my 8 year old daughter who adored spending time with all the animals and especially loved cuddling baby Chloe the Koala. For an extra $10, she was allowed to hold the koala for 10 minutes and feed it leaves whilst I videoed and took photos.

We also had a really good feeding and photo session with the beautiful kangaroos.

Even though this is a small park, they had all the right things for our aussie wildlife needs. They are also getting penguins in the near future as the Kingscote penguin viewing tour has closed due to the seals eating all the penguins!
I recommend this as a value-for-money stop on your tour of the island.

A lovely experience. You can see that the new owners are working hard to upgrade the facilities as it seems they may have been let go a little. There are new larger enclosures being built for most of the animals. Our hosts were extremely friendly & we were able to spend quite a while holding & patting Koalas. I saw other visitors spending time holding snakes. Overall a nice place to visit.

My first Koalas in Australia - and some kangaroos. The koalas are more protected here, and hide in the trees. I think Parndana has also times when you can hold a Koala, but we observed them mostly in their gum trees. The kangaroos are more reserved here as well. Nice to visit though.
