The meal we had on our 1 night at Tumbling Waters was a highlight of our 2 week trip. The mango cheesecake was to die for and we loved the soft shelled crab and barra. And it was so reasonably priced that I was totally shocked! $4 beers and $5 glasses of wine - wow! On top of that, absolutely lovely French staff.

The park itself is lovely, with a small area showing off some freshies, a table-tennis table, and other bonus features. All of this has led me to give it a high rating, but there were some wrinkles - the shared showers weren't too good, they watered the camping area regularly which meant our tent got wet, and in the morning we awoke to traffic noise from the nearby road, rather than to the birds.

Stayed a few nights in our van, it was easy access for the 21ft rig. The road was very dusty around our sites making everything in and around our annex quite filthywith the traffic around, I guess that's normal though for this time of year. During the evening and at night the smell of surage from the bush near all the caravan sites was very strong, the stench was sickening. I would not recommend drinking the tap water as it had a funny smell, looked yellow and had some sediment in it. I was told it was bore water. The owners were nice enough and I could see why people like this park as its cheap and there is quite a bit of shade around. Next time we might just stay in Darwin for the convience and better facility's like having acces to a dump spot as the park didn't have one.

We stayed here for 1 night only on our way back to Darwin from a visit to Kakadu and Katherine
Gorge. We were very lucky to be able to get a site, as the park was full. The manager was great though and squeezed us in. The park seemed very well run and all very clean and tidy. Big surprise was the café we had the best food here - been traveling around for 2 weeks and found this lovely café on our last nite, it was all basic service etc, but they where very friendly and nice and the food was excellent and all well priced and licensed also. The manager was very nice and helpful. Great sport to visit Berry Springs

Tumbling Waters is a great place to stay. Easy access to Berry Springs, Territory Wildlife Park and Litchfield National Park. Only a 1/2 hour drive to the attractions of Darwin including Mindil Beach.
Darren and Jenny are great hosts. The addition of the Bistro is a major plus.
Highly recommended for business trips, family holidays and honeymoons.

Room Tip: Cabins are good value - better than any motel in Darwin

This place made our Holiday because Darren and Jenny Operate this place brilliantly with polite happy friendliness . Great camping site that felt like we were the only ones there but the park was full . We left our camper trailer set up in the for two days and visited Kakadu and felt that it was as safe here as it was in my shed at home . Tumbling Waters just has a beautiful atmosphere for all family members and quite noticeable by the longer term1or 2 months campers satisfaction . Had meals and drinks in the Restaurant with family and friends over quite a few nights and this we could not fault as the service and pricing and quality were second to none( The seafood basket was my highlight ) . A very easy place to access all that the area has to offer as Darwin is only 40 minutes away , Litchfield is only 45 minutes away and the beautiful Berry springs just down the road 5minutes and swimming in late June in 25 degree crystal clear water . . There is a great little pub and general store about 3 minutes drive away so all needs are catered for .. The Amenities at Tumbling waters are great with shower blocks or private ensuit toilet shower , very clean area .and easy distance to camp area .. Well recommended and would not hesitate to tell all my friends travelling to the NT to only camp here when want a caravan site near Darwin .Also tumbling Waters is very Children friendly as our 2 felt they didn't want to leave

We paid $110 per night for a villa and it was lovely. The owners are really nice people, the place was clean. They have a free deckchair cinema once a week and a nice enclosure with freshwater crocs which the kids loved. Lighting at the side and rear of the cabin (where you park) would be nice as I had great fun packing the car in the dark and I think a bin in the bathroom is essential but for $110 a night it's still great value and we'd be more than happy to stay there again.
