One of the best options if you want to stay in Lobitos with more comfort and security. The meals are too pricey for the region you can find better options for lunch and dinner around. Walking distance from the breaks, Lobitos about 5 minutes, Generales right in front of the hotel and Piscinas about 20 min.

Stayed in an ocean front room for 3 nights. While there a cheaper places in Lobitos the rooms are awesome complete with Balcony and hammock with full views of the surf. The breakfast is very good and the two ladies (manager and cook) were both lovely. During our stay the surf was flat but staying at Lobitos Lodge was very enjoyable and relaxing.

There's not a lot to do in Lobitos if you don't surf (I don't but boyfriend does). Lobitos lodge is a great place to spend the day chilling while everyOne else is out on the water. Rooms are impeccably clean and comfortable. Breakfast is great (eggs, fruit, coffee tea juice). Hammocks in a nice sheltered area and a ping pong table.
Also it's beachfront and near a couple of other busy hostels for places to eat/drink.
Tia, the Australian manager while we were there, was extremely helpful and nice. Future plans for the place (including pool and restaurant) sound fantastic.
Rooms are nice and private but it's also a great hotel to socialise with other guests.
It's expensive by Peru standards (US$50 for 2 in a matrimonial room), but most places are in Lobitos because it's so isolated, and the Lodge is of a high standard and worth the money considering. If you or one of your group doesn't surf then this is a good hideout.
The only downside is the oil pump behind the hotel which is noisy if you are in aback room. It's rhythmic though so you kinda get used to it? Not sure if it's better in a front room. :)
