Newly converted cottage , very warm & cosy feel . Location is lovely for a relaxing break . two thumbs up !
On a down side sadly it only has single beds , which i think needs changing . All married couples like to share a bed , but your not given the option , also some less than great building work has been conducted and as a joiner i couldnt help but notice . Would benifit from some new windows & front door really quickly :( , Sorry but was slighty dissapionted

out of 10 , it gets a 8 from us . Family of 4 from Sheffield

“Cosy, comfortable & thoughtfully equipped cottage”
Reviewed December 11, 2012 for a stay in December 2012

Bottesford Cottage has been lovingly restored and provides great value accommodation (two adults & four kids in our case). Dermot and Anne have put a lot of thought into their renovation and have equipped the cottage really well. We were very impressed with the 'information pack'. The cottage is within easy walking distance to shops, pubs and restaurants (Paul's is recommended). A lovely place to stay within easy driving distance of local cities and attractions.

“good clean cottage with everything you need.”
Reviewed December 10, 2012 for a stay in November 2012

The cottage is situated opposite the owners large house. On arrival the owners have provided a continental breakfast with milk and tea, not that you have to walk far to the shop.
The cottage itself looks small on the outside but when we entered we were surprised by the size of the rooms inside. You walk in through the hall to the large living room and kitchen on the ground floor. Bedrooms are twins one on the first floor and one on the second floor and the beds were really comfortable to sleep in. Nice touch is the lights along the bottom of the stairs. The shower room is very large with a good shower and is located next to the second floor bedroom. Heating is from a com bi boiler and when we stayed it was a cold night and the heating had no trouble coping with it. A real homely feel to the whole cottage. One warning if you are using a sat nav to find the cottage beware the ford which is on the lane.

Reviewed December 9, 2012 for a stay in October 2012

this cottage is ideal to travel round and being keen fishermen this was ideal for traverling to river trent in newark including newark dyke, the cottage itself has all you would ever need and with pubs, restarants & takeaways all within 10 minitre or less walk away, anne & dermot could not be more help and nothing was to much trouble will defenitly be returning as soon as possable.
