“Great hideaway to chill and relax by the pool .”
Reviewed October 10, 2018 for a stay in October 2018

We had a fantastic week chilling in this well appointed villa . Breakfast and cleaning by Made and his collegues was great. away from traffic noise with no dogs or cockerels to wake you in the morning just the odd gecko singing in the night . Beds were comfy and the aircon in the bedrooms was welcome at night

The pool was a real treat about 1.6 m deep into in most areas . it was in the shade till 11 am them back to n shade from 5pm. The shallow section was in shade all day .

The location was great, a 30 minutes walk from the very crowded centre of ubud . Around the villa a few minutes walk were a number of good cheap restaurants but also some of the highly rated vegetarian , raw , Mexican , Warang and vegan restaurants. There are also a number of bars and small shops selling soda, beer, chips and biscuits etc. We also saw a number of spa and yoga options .

Taxis / car were always available from the guys at the end of the lane and if you take the drivers number you can book pickup and next days drop off .

We will be booking agin next time we are in Bali

“Could have been better ”

We spent 4 nights in the villa recently. There was no one in attendance & they were not expecting us at all. It was fortunate our driver dropped us to the wrong accommodation initially as the very helpful staff there made phone calls for us until someone arrived to assist us. Upon entering, it was clear they were not expecting us. The fridge was not even plugged in. There were no towels but these were very swiftly provided. The kitchen contained the very basics of items however there was no need to cook with restaurants close by. I think for the price there could have been some basic staples supplied such as tea & coffee & some bottled water. There was a large water container there however we were uncertain as to how long it may have sat unused so we did not avail ourselves of its use. I could have had my pick of accommodation in Ubud but u purposefully chose this villa for its private pool. However when we arrived, the pool was green & although the staff said they had added cleaning solution, the pool did not clear well enough for swimming until the day before we left so we only had one brief swim in it which was a huge disappointment.
The villa itself is very spacious & nicely appointed. The beds are large & very comfortable. Note that only the bedrooms are air conditioned not the entire villa & there was a note from management stating that it was only to be used at night.
As with most of Bali, electricity can be an issue & we had to reset the power twice after the trip switch went off. Wifi was provided & there were no issues with this. I would stock up on some basic supplies if staying here as the supermarket is a fair walking distance. The area itself is fairly secluded & away from the hustle & bustle of Ubud.

Greetings from Dugul Ubud.

Thank you so much for taking the time to write this review and for your balanced input on both the positive and negative aspects of the villa.

I want to offer our apologies for the issues which occurred. We definitely realise the arrival was messy and this was due to a misunderstanding between myself and my team. Heavy rain fall before your arrival impacted the cleanliness of the pool which we tried to rectify as quickly as possible.

We really do apologise for any inconvenience you experienced. We hope to be able to welcome you back and show you that we can do much better.

On behalf of the whole team we send you our best regards.

Nyoman

“Everything perfect”

Location: Near Campuhan Ridge, Alchemy Cafe, Murni's Warung, Blanco Museum and so much more hot spots. Please also visit the Bintang supermarket, Karsa spa and Sari organic! Monkey Forest, The royal palace, the shopping area, Barong, Wayang shows, restaurants and bars are close, but far enough to enjoy a relaxing and peaceful stay at the villa. In the morning, you can spot the locals putting down offerings around the villa, next to the sawa's, it's beautiful. There are also two little stores, where you can buy cheap soda's, a Bintang, cigarettes, candy etc

The villa: Amazing. Loved the interior design. The beds are perfect. The curtains will keep the sun away in the bedroom! AC. The bathroom is luxurious and open air. TV for rainy days, full equipped kitchen, nice garden and your own big private swimming pool. I travel to Bali at least once every year, sometimes alone, sometimes with the kids. Can't wait to bring my kids here, they are gonna have so much fun!

Service: The villa was cleaned by Komang every day, and he is truly amazing! A job well done! He also makes breakfast. Fresh fruit juices, pancakes, scrambled eggs, you name it! Airport pick up, drop off, everything was perfect. Nyoman and Komang, hope to see you guys again, very soon, thank you for everything! The only thing i missed was a satpam!

“Very nice villa, great service”

We stayed in the villa for four nights with four persons and a baby. The service was very good, from the moment we arrived until the morning we left. The villa is located just outside the busy part of Ubud and surrounded by nature. From the villa it is easy to take a walk around and have lunch or dinner nearby. You cannot get to the villa by car, the last few meters you will have to walk. This makes it a very quiet stay and very relaxing. Breakfast is served on time in the villa.

“Tranquil Penestanan - lovely villa”

Close to Ubud in beautiful Penestanan, Villa Dugul offers luxury and serenity. It's a good sign when you hate to depart a holiday destination and we certainly had to drag ourselves away after 4 days.

Villa Dugul is perfect for a family with older children or for 2 couples. The garden and pool offer total privacy with good cafes and shopping very close by. Ubud is a comfortable stroll away.

Putu looked after us so well and nothing we asked was too much trouble for him. One morning he arrived early to make sure we enjoyed breakfast before setting out on a bird watching tour. His breakfasts by the way we're very yummy.

We will return.

“Beautiful villa, nice neighborhood”
Reviewed March 17, 2016 for a stay in February 2016

We stayed over here in february 2016. The villa is really beautiful and big. It has two bedrooms (both with a large double bed) and two outdoor bathrooms with showers. The living room is very big, with a large TV (and a lot of movies and TV-channels). The wooden kitchen is beautiful, and has basic kitchenware and a fridge.

The outside has a nice swimming pool of about 10 meters long, a garden, and two sunloungers, positioned in the shadow.

The neigborhood is very nice. The centre of Ubud is 20-30 minutes walking, or 5 minutes by motorbike (which you can rent everywhere). But, along the Jl. Raya Penestanan, which is only a two-minute walk from the villa, are a lot of restaurant as well. Also, it's only a 10-minute walk to Warwick Ibah, along the Jl. Raya Ubud, where a nice walk through the ricefields starts.

Overall, we really enjoyed our stay at Jugul, and we would recommend everyone to spend their time in Ubud over here.
