A golden nugget in countryside surroundings. So easy to find and only a few miles from the medieval town of Shrewsbury, situated in a beautiful hamlet is the picturesque Burlton Inn. Pure indulgence with excellent food (locally sourced), fine wines, cask ales and extremely comfortable accommodation. With friendly welcoming staff creating a warm atmosphere, you could not wish for anything better. If you enjoy a glass of wine or cask ale, sitting in front of a log burning fire then we would strongly recommend this quaint country inn to those of you who appreciate the finer things in life. Now that we have found Shropshire’s best kept secret we will certainly be planning a return visit.

Very pleasant and helpful owner/landlord. The pub / restaurant was delightful with a great ambience. The staff were welcoming and the service very good. Our evening meal was superb! Really good quality and beautifully presented. Highly recommended.

Our room was basic but quite recently refurbished, with a comfortable bed and crisp cotton bedding and was very clean with a modern bathroom – no complaints at all.

Breakfast was fine. Choice of cereals and fruit juices, yoghurts and good quality English breakfast provided.

This country accomodation was perfect and so quiet and peaceful!! beautifully decorated inside the pub with traditional open nice warm fireplaces. The rooms were extra super spacious and very very clean and comfortable. Our room had its very own lobby entrance!

The service was top class.....the owner really went out of his way to help us and printed a selection of things to do in the area for us when we were asking for recommendations. We were made to feel very comfortable and everyone was really friendly and willing to help.

We ate in the restaurant in the evening and the food was lovely...everything cooked fresh to order....the muscles were amazing!! recommended!! The breakfast was also very good.

All in all it was excellent value for money and we would definately go back if we were in the area again!!

I stayed at The Burlton Inn for an anniversary getaway with my wife last weekend. The food was absolutely top quality, in fact we've never tasted food so good. The room was extremely comfortable with a superb four poster bed. My compliments to Paul, Lindsay and all the staff who made me & my wife so welcome. They really know what good customer service is all about. We will definitely return here in the not too distant future.
