My colleague booked me in to this hotel describing it as 'quirky'. The plan being to arrive the night before and be fresh for my meetings the nect morning.
My flight from UK was delayed so I emailed hotel to give them 5 hrs warning. When I arrived there was no one at reception (22:15) so I waited 20 mins for someone to drive down and give me a key. The room, was described as a comfort class room but outside it was 27 degrees, and there was no air con or fan, so far from comfortable for me.
The windows would not open enough due to the internal wooden shutters, and the noise from the road outside was horrendous. Then when the town hall click chid every hour and a neighbouring cockerel started screeching from 3:30 in the morning, then enough was enough.
Thankfully the hotels wifi was working which allowed me to book a room at an ibis and write this review while fighting the effects of enforced insomnia.
