A nicely located hotel and easy to find which is a bonus. Beautiful old building a real step back in time if you have the imagination. Room wonderfully spacious and comfortable and very quiet. Only point is that a central light would have been appreciated. T.V. offered lots of channels and worked perfectly. The shower took quite a bit of fine tuning but that's not unusual. Wi-fi worked perfectly.
Breakfast was fine and all the staff very pleasant and efficient.
Looking forward to any further visit.

We visited the hotel for a 2 night stay on a Wowcher deal, which was a real bargain, so I wasn't sure what to expect after reading mixed reviews, but I was most impressed. The Reception staff were friendly and welcoming and our room (Room 31) was spacious, well appointed & reasonably maintained. The bathroom could benefit from some refurbishment, but all the plumbing worked and it was spotlessl;y clean. Our room overlooked the rear garden so was nice and quiet, even though there was a live music tribute band playing at an event on the Friday evening. We visited family & friends in the area, so did not dine at the hotel, but breakfast was excellent with a good choice including a full English breakfast.
The hotel is located in a beautiful old manor house, located in a private driveway just off the quiet residential area of Green Lane Clapham. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this stylish country hotel.

Room Tip: At the time of booking I requested a quiet room & we were allocated one at the rear of the hotel which was just perfect.

We stayed over a Saturday night and the first impressions were of a very grand hotel. Unfortunately, like many old country house hotels it is now in need of some refurbishment. The large bedroom was a little shabby and the bathroom in need of re-grouting, but both were clean, the bed comfortable and the shower good. The cost of the night including breakfast was what you would pay in a modern chain hotel, so the slight shabbiness really was over compensated for by the friendly staff, the quality of breakfast and the beautiful surroundings. I honestly have to say the staff really do make you ignore the aged fittings. I would certainly stay here again if I was visiting the area again,

Booked this hotel for three nights at short notice through laterooms.com. Upgraded on arrival and the room was fantastic. Very quiet location so of you want hustle and bustle, this place is not for you. Staff are very attentive and cleanliness is good. Worth a visit if you want a quiet location with attractions close at hand. Thumbs up to the staff!

We visited Woodland Manor for the wedding of my niece and found that the venue was very good. The food was excellent, staff very friendly and helpful. The room we stayed in was of a good size with comfortable bed although some of our friends disagreed with the bed they had. The only thing against this hotel is its getting very tired and needs decorating but as its a listed building I expect there is only so much they can do.
We enjoyed our stay but I expect the beer helped.

Room Tip: We were on the first floor and didn't hear any noise from the ground floor.
