I phoned for a reservation on Friday, 13 December for the following evening and was advised the restaurant was busy but numbers had to be confirmed on a large party booking. I left my phone number and within half an hour received a call to advise that they could fit us in at the time we wanted. I am so pleased they could fit us in!
We received a warm welcome the moment we stepped in the door and the restaurant had a lovely atmosphere and the young lady who served us was both charming and attentive. I had the baked Camembert and my husband the Crab Tian for Starter followed by the Buckhurst Venison. The food was beautifully presented and was delicious - the venison was produced on the Withyham estate was cooked to perfection.
We consider the food to be excellent value for money - fresh local produced to a very high standard
We will definitely book again and will recommend this restaurant to friends and family.
