This was a very nice surprise: the most beautiful garden in very charming city in Burgundy. Out os the traditional cities however close to the most important and beautiful vineyards and wineries, this B&B is impeccable in all senses - wonderful and well care garden, with a highlight for the small bistro in the old garage. Colors, smells and if you get luck, a rabbit walking through the plants. The house itself is a beautiful and remodeling old chateau, keeping the charming with all facilities. And the owners - Elisabeth and Denis - the best host we could have during a holiday! And ask for Elisabeth's dinner and Denis' wine selection, we could have your best meal in Burgundy!!!

We arrived tired and hot after a long drive from Italy, and were greeted with a warm welcome, a sparkling swimming pool and the offer of some delicious local wine whilst we relaxed and cooled down. Denis and Elisabeth are attentive and wonderful hosts making you feel both at home, but also with an air of luxury that makes everything feel special.
The house and gardens are just beautiful, with loads of carefully selected trinkets and interesting nic-nacs dotted all over the place. Ask to see Denis' pigeonerie and his wine cellar and take a moment to realise just how much time and effort has been put into the decoration of the house and grounds.
We ate our deliciously tasty and inventive 4 course dinner (cooked for us by the talented Elisabeth) in the open barn surrounded by candles, fairy lights and gentle music. I'm absolutely certain that the food was as good, if not better, than any restaurants in the vicinity, plus they accommodated our dietary requirements with no problem what-so-ever.
We came away feeling like we had visited friends who had spoiled us rotten, and one night simply wasn't enough. We will be going back.

Le Petit Clos is absolutely beautiful and a great place to stay, but it is your hosts, Elizabeth & Denis, who make your stay perfect. You are made so welcome, Elizabeth cooking wonderful food,( we recommend you eat there at least one night, more if you can) and Denis serving delicious wine from his cellar,(very reasonably priced and some of the nicest in Beune). If possible ask Denis to arrange a visit to the cellars of his work place, it's extremely interesting and the wine is delicious. It made our holiday very special, see for yourself, you won't be disappointed.

We have just returned from spending 4 nights with Elisabeth and Denis in Ciel. It was undoubtedly the best B and B we have ever stayed in. The location, the meals, the wine and the hosts were perfect in every way. Elisabeth cannot do enough to make her guests welcome. She must walk miles everyday carrying trays of food and drinks to secluded spots all over the garden. In addition we were treated to a tour of the cellars of the wine company with whom Denis works, which was very interesting indeed. I understand that in French the word 'ciel' not only means 'sky', but also 'heaven'. This Ciel certainly lives up to its name.

Elizabeth produced sensational food; Denis shared with us his passion for the wines of Burgundy. A lovely couple who really made our stay memorable - oh and the house and bedrooms are nice too!
